My Fallout thinks it's Christmas

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 8:12 am

So I logged onto Fallout 4 yesterday, and when I went to Diamond City there were Christmas trees, lights, and a guard telling me "This is crazy, can you believe today is Christmas?". I figured it might have been something wrong with a mod (The only ones I have are a bug fixer and a mod that adds more songs to the radio), so I turned them both off and loaded an earlier save. It was still Christmas. I tried uninstalling the mods altogether. Still Christmas. So I figured I'd wait a day to see if maybe the clock just thought yesterday was Christmas for some reason. Still Christmas. My computer's clock is fine, and I don't have any mods anymore, but Fallout seems to be stuck in eternal Christmas. Anyone have any ideas to fix this?

Pretty sure I saw a thread about Halloween decorations when it was Oct 31 in game. Wouldn't be surprised if they did Christmas and possibly some other holidays as well.

I am pretty sure that when the date in-game is the date christmas happens, diamond city has christmas stuff, so it's based ingame, not IRL. That's why waiting a day IRL didn't work, you need to wait a day in-game for it to change.

Xmas is a thing in Fallout 4. Probably lasts a few days in game.

The date/time in the game does not correspond to the real world. Look at your PipBoy for the IN GAME date/time.

Really? Durned, I completely missed that ... it's already February in my game. I'm dubious.

I took too long to find my way to Diamond City in-game, so I missed Halloween. I already knew about Diamond City being decorated for holidays, so I've been meaning to make sure I pass through on Dec 25th, but frankly, I've been so busy running around doing stuff, I haven't kept track of the date. I'll have to check my Pip-boy tonight to see if I've already missed Christmas.
