A Fallout Timeline

Post » Mon Jul 04, 2011 2:26 pm

So I don't know how many of the people here are familiar with the IB Timeline in the TES Artwork and Fanfiction forum. If you didn't know, it's a series of RPs that is focused on developing a world that's coherent and makes sense, with it's own unique lore. And so, I was thinking, why doesn't the Fallout forum have an equivalent to it?

So that's what I came here to try to fix. If enough people are interested, we can create an Roleplay that won't just be a oneshot like many of the Rps I see are. We can create a world, with deep characters, meaningful conflicts, intrigue, and that is fun for all involved. So, who here is interested in doing something like that?

I was thinking that, if enough people are interested, we could roleplay the Battle of Hoover Dam. People could pick sides (for instance, people could roleplay as Caesar and be in charge of Caesar's Legion, or the could be Mr. House's right hand man and support his cause), and we could roleplay the battle in a realistic way. I'm thinking that the Courier would have to be left out if we did that, though, because then someone might want to play as the Courier, and think that they should win no matter what because of that.

Obviously, an RP series like this would take dedicated, committed roleplayers who can think independantly and decide things with other Rpers. This kind of thing requires a certain amount of independance, because it wouldn't have a set ending; the ending would change based on how the Rp turns out. It wouldn't have some "God" host who decides what goes in the Rp; I would be just another Rper like everyone else.

So, who's interested?

NOTE: You may wish to go to the Elder Scrolls Artwork and Fanfiction forum to see what I'm talking about when I mention the IB Timeline. Hopefully, we can create a timeline with that level of success here.

I'm interested, but we will need support from a LARGE portion of the roleplayers for this to be a success. This means no one needs to sit out on this one, I believe.

You don't need allot of rpers, really, all you need is a core group of three or four maybe. Role players come and go, what makes the timeline work is we have a dedicated core that builds a such a foundation that you can have several people drop and it not die out. Sounds like a great idea Broken, I wish you luck!

Colored me intrigued.

Sounds pretty awesome but then again almost all the RP's I read sound awesome in theory, hardly any of them get very far though.

However, this has be done over in the TES side of things so I think it's certainly worth shot.
