Fallout 4 tomorrow for me!

Post » Mon Dec 07, 2015 4:55 pm

Like many Australians, I will line up for a hopefully short period of time outside my local store to pick up my Pip Boy edition at 8 am (my time.. so even earlier for my East Coast buddies). Looking forward to seeing the Pipboy edition however I will NOT be wearing it while at Work!

It's release is worldwide based on Eastern Standard time on the east coast of the USA. Sorry.

Especially for a franchise based exclusively in continental US, it's nice to see a game being released based on US time zones. Of course, that won't prevent mom and pop shops from breaking the release date, which many already have.

Not according to my local store. I went there this morning to confirm what the exact time was and was told that the doors opened at 8 am to pick up said copy.

Release Time
Want to know exactly when you can start playing Fallout 4? Digitally the game will become available on November 10, 2015, at 12:01 am (local time) in all territories (In North America, the unlock time will be 12:01 am EST), except Asia (available at 12 am on Wednesday, November 11th) and Japan (available at 12 am on Thursday, December 17th).

Unless you are in Asia or Japan, it appears the game will be released 12:01 am wherever you are in the world on November 10. Of course, it's worth noting this is for the digital release. Street date for hard copies can be broken and often are for highly anticipated titles.

11/10 at 12:01 EST translates into 11/09 at 11:01 CST yes?

So. how does the time zone in Australia translate to EST?

I can go get mine at 11 p.m. tomorrow. Unfortunately I doubt I will, seeing as I have school Tuesday.

I still do not know if I can pick mine up because of having to spend $170 on new tires Saturday. What is this about real life getting in the way?

Depending on where you live in Australia, you could be 13 to 15 hours ahead of US Eastern Standard Time.

Steam says Fallout 4 is available in 10.5 hours for me. Yay!

My internet connection has been out since last Wednesday and is due to come back sometime between now and Friday. Booo!

Apparently one of the recent storms that blew through Sydney caused hardware to fail at the phone exchange and they've had to replace "a significant amount of hardware.". It couldn't have happened at a worse time. :brokencomputer:

I think every other state bar WA is doing a midnight release. WA's trading laws dont allow for it, which kinda svcks.
