Fallout 2: Total Evil playthrough

Post » Thu Sep 01, 2011 6:37 pm

I started a new game in Fallout 2, probably my 20th or something, and I was thinking about creating a Total Evil character. No, not psycho, not someone who seeks bad endings, but just a total bastard who ruins everyone's lives. Using latest Restoration Project.

Name: Meannasty (Male, bald)
Age: 25
SPECTIAL: 6, 5, 7, 5, 7, 5, 5.
TAG: Small guns, Melee, Lockpick

The idea is simply to ruin plans and people's lives. A general rule is that I must give a lot of thought on my deeds - Give people hope, and then SMASH them down.

I started off by rushing out of Arroyo. I saved the dog to get next level.
In Klamath I helped the brothers steal Torr's brahmin. Back in town I told that the brothers were responsible, and gained much fame by telling I'd help find Torr for free. I returned Torr from the canyon and in exchange I requested Sulik's release. I recruited Sulik, took all his stuff and headed to the Den. I also insulted the gatekeeper dude and refused to give him money.
In the Den the first thing I did was sell Sulik to slavery for some 700 bucks. I helped the gangsters take over Metzger's church for quick money and easy guns. I did this because Metzger trades with the Enclave, and thus protecting his chemicals is an evil thing to do.
I signed up for slaver duty and did all the runs, earning 4000 bucks. I recruited Vic and headed to New Reno. Wasted all my slave money on drugs and prosttutes, did some quests for Mordinos and applied for porm stardom (and succeeded). Took plated gloves and pumped veins full of Buffout and became Prizefighter.

That's where I am now. Some future plans:
- Get Gecko power plant in full power, and then destroy it. Kill Harold.
- Become Captain of Guard in Vault City, then assassinate entire Vault City leadership.
- Help Dr. Troy get cure for Jet, get all Jet Cure I can carry, and then murder him.
- Cause race war in Broken Hills.
- Kill ALL family bosses in Reno.
- Do not harm anyone in Navarro, especially Dr. "Human Experiment" Schreber.
- Kill all Deathclaws
- Make NCR a dictatorship.
- Kill Enclave leaders without even talking to them.
- Recruit all companions, but make sure they all die. A notable exception shall be Miria, who I must keep alive for the entire game, but then leave in the Oil Rig when I blow it up.

Any suggestions?
I kinda regret selling Sulik to slavery, since a lot more fitting end would have been to help him find his sister, then kill her quietly, and THEN sell Sulik to Metzger. Oh well.

It's too bad you get locked out of that entire city if you treat her LIKE SHE DESERVES!!!!! (if you do it the first time you meet her, like some people do ) but you know, actions and consequences.

Edit: Just realized that being a dike towards Lynette is an action of GOOD. She really deserves it from everyone, so to be saying nice things to her and kissing her ass, you'd be evil x)

Well wouldn't the right thing be to first get in good with her, making people loathe you and then betraying even her, making everyone look at you like you're a complete dike?

But before... Choose only the responses that address her as "First Citizen"...

Ever wanted to be Captain of the Guard in Vault City? Well, it's simpler than it sounds.

If you're willing to buckle up and walk the dialogue minefield, you'll need the following things:

· Speech >= 75% AND a CHR > 7.
· Be able to speak to Lynette, the First Citizen of Vault City, without killing her. No small task.
· Choose every response that addresses her as "First Citizen," including "Bye" responses.
· Stop the raiders, show Lynette the account book you got from the raiders AND Bishop's holodisk detailing his affairs with NCR (located in Bishop's personal safe in New Reno), and then deliver the disk to Westin in NCR.
· When you get back, mission accomplished, if her respect for you is high enough, she awards you Captain of the Guard status.
· You will notice most of the Vault City citizen dialogues will change, especially Sergeant Stark, who will be none too pleased with your promotion. Take Cassidy with you to Stark for more hi-jinks and a little more XP if you confront Stark on busting up Cassidy's bar.

The best way to insure Lynette's RESPECT COUNTER for you is high enough is to find a loop in the dialogue where you can continually address her as First Citizen - after becoming a Citizen, the best way to do it is to keep asking her about Vault 13 (if you haven't found it), choosing the response of: "First Citizen, it’s very important to me that I find the location of my ancestor’s Vault. If I may check the archives, I would be grateful." Loop it ten to fifteen times to be sure (you need at least a level 10 - I do it fifteen times to be sure), then just be sure not to anger her after that.

One final word, if you want to become Captain of the Guard, do NOT keep stopping by to talk to her if you are not a Citizen. This... irritates Lynette. Every instance of this should lower her respect for you by 1.

Simpler than it sounds my ass!
I never knew that though, goes to show that there's "still" stuff to learn even after a decade. (Bethesda, this is how a good RPG is made, tons and tons oh so many more tons of content)
((Tough if not done right it will become bloated quantity instead of quality))
