None, I need mercenary names and types.
Also, I update the first post with more random stuff to make you cry at night.

You can take the major raider groups as Mercs too I'd think. It's something they would do. Vipers, Khans, Jackels to name the big three in the west. Talon would be the major ones in the eastern most portion of the map. In the midwest you can have the Reaver movement, Super mutant remnants, and generic Raiders, ghouls, and so forth.

Speaking of ghouls, how will they be pictured? Will there be any kind of ghoul faction, or ghoul units you can train? Will there be a Necropolis, or other ghoul settlements?

I can only fit so many factions.

They will be a Rebel Faction, though you will be able to recruit Ghoul Units

What about religious wars/armed invasions (will there be a substitute for the Crusades/Jihads of MWII)?

Is there a figure to replace the Pope or act similar to him (with missions/favor rating)?

I have not thought about the Crusades in all honesty, I may add some inner faction issues you will hav to deal with.

The BoS will replace the Pope with the Elders, and there will be a sort of House of Nobles mission giver for factions.

I was speaking of merc type by region, for you to hire, not full factions. That is what you wanted wasn't it?

I think I said that, if not I meant to... whoops.

Ghouls Mercs can be recruited near Necropolis and Escaped Slaves by the Den and Vault city and etc.

I'm adding in the Fallout Inquistion as a joke, and an excuse to use Inquisitors.

They will kill your leaders if their "Fannism" stat isn't high enough.

Talon Company counteracts the Inquisition, polar opposites.

Very nice Boradam! That is one heck of an undertaking...

Have you checked out the Middle Earth mod on TWC forums... Probably the best total conversion I've ever seen in a game and could probably get quite a few ideas from that if you haven't already checked it out.

Indeed, that's actually where I found some mechanics I could use for this.

It will be a very, very long time until this is finished sadly.

I'm a big fan of the Total War series and I've been dying to play a modern version. Here's to hoping you stick with what seems like an incredibly ambitious project. :foodndrink:

I'm not sure if the total war system would properly be able to replicate the fallout world due to how the battles function.

I don't see what you mean, in terms of real time, strategies, or auto-resolves?

The map strategy would work great for Fallout, just not the battles. The Total War games are based on large units with formations with the same or similar weapons and armor. Armies in Fallout times would work like guerilla armies today with taking cover and using random weapons and gear.

If I were to make a strategy mod for Fallout it'd be Civilization 4(not 5 it blows). Not to say that if you made this I wouldn't play it, I'd love to try it.
