I recently purchased the Disk based version of fallout trilogy. The instalation went fine but when I click on the Fallout.exe, the Please stand by starts as normal..i can even watch the opeening movie with perfect sound and graphics. Immediatley following, however the screen goes black and I have to use task manager to get out. It says there is an application error. THis is the same for both fallout 1 and 2..haven't installed tactics. I am hoping there is something stupid that i am misssing...but i have already tryed various compatibility modes to no effect. Anyone have this same problem or know a fix it would be greatly appreciated.

My system is a Dell Latitude D800 Win XP professional Service pack 3 Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1400 MHZ 585 Mhz, 512MB of ram more then enough hard drive space and a vidia GEForce FX GO 5200 graphics card.
