Fallout: Unarmed skill

Post » Fri Sep 10, 2010 3:38 am

Does the damage of melee attacks go up as the skill increases (ie. becoming even more ninja) or do you have to get better weapons (Brass, spiked knuckles, powerfist)?

I'm pondering playing a unarmed melee guy next time but don't want to have to rely on finding knuckle dusters, though i expect to this will be the case.

the more skilled you are with the feat will increase the attack as well as you characters strength but nut by a massive amount say you unarmed attack is 7 starting the game if you max you strenght and unarmed skill you might end up with like 30 but you get paralizing palm and have high ap vats em for like 10 straight hits untouched,or have high sneak, high critical and go ninja perk when you get the chance and you could kill just about anything with one sneak attack. i have have an urnarmed character who does well but you use a lot of drugs starting out os think of incorporated thoses kinda perks too

The attack moves are Fo2 only.

Unarmed isn't an easy type to use in FO1 due to the limited damage opportunities. To increase damage, you either need an "unarmed" weapon (like the Brass/Spiked Knuckles and the power fist), increase your strength, take a relevant perk/trait, or aim at a body part (as this increases your critical chance)
