As you can see, this is something I have put a lot of time and effort into. This has been made before by me and a lot of people were interested, but then it died no too long after. Because I like it so much I will try to resurrect it. All who are interested just sign up, I feel like now would be a good time to introduce a new spin on the fallout world.

Fallout: Vietnam

Story

America is at war with China. The have been warring for some time now, but America has a hidden jack up its sleeve. Essentially this is a black ops mission in which America sent spies to act as members of China’s emperor, Wang Jingwei. One reconnoissance was gathered and sent back to America for confirmation, American then acted rationally. They sent, via submarine, a small group of soldiers to Vietnam to sweep and eliminate all Chinese resistance, which had migrated to Vietnam from China. This was called operation Redstrike.

You are one of the select American soldiers, chosen by the government. Either willingly or by force, you are apart of this because of your superior skills in battle. You operate under the codename of Jungle Reapers. Shipped via submarine to Vietnam, all you know is that you are to follow your leader and rendezvous with a secret agent codename Mr. Grimm. Your story begins the day you make port.

Once you rendezvous at the secret http://www.members.cox.net/soulpatrol/BunkerMap2.jpg, your main objective will be to finish of all Jingwei forces, or Scrappers, and find and kill Jingwei if he isn’t already dead. There is no scheduled evacuation for you, and you have no idea that won’t be getting picked up, ever.

Jungle Reapers

You are the best at what you do for a reason. You are the elite at what you do, which means that in addition to being well rounded, you can do whatever job you are tasked with with proficiency. That said, there are two categories in which you may operate, and within that, three subcategories. They are as follows.

Recon

The more agile of the two, these guys are in the inside of the pack, surrounded by the more armored infantry, but able to sneak out and either scout and gather, or retrieve and regroup. They all must wear http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/fallout/images/thumb/6/62/Fallout_3_Recon_Armour.png/139px-Fallout_3_Recon_Armour.png (with gas mask) and come suited with a silenced 10mm and http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4058/4417849816_cf5764fb81.jpg, combat knife, Pip-Boy 2000, 10 stimpacks and 10 radaways. All Recon members are trained in the field of basic engineering as well.

Seekers: These are the scouts, sent out to gather information about what, or who, they are up against.

Retrievers: These are the sentries, sent out for a specific person or thing. They get in, get it, and get out with efficiency.

Infantry

The more powerful of the two and made for battle, their steel armor makes them hard to stop. This comes at the liability of slowed movement. They are the powerhouse, able to suppress and attack. These men will be needed if you expect to make it in the harsh post-apocalyptic jungle. All Infantry members will have http://images.wikia.com/fallout/images/5/56/Winterized_T-51b.png, standard laser rifles, laser pistols, mini-guns, 20 stimpacks and 20 radaways.

Berserkers: The berserkers are the one who always initiate battle, in the front lines. They are designated the largest asset and assigned against the most odds. They are the first to advance and the last to retreat.

Templars: These are the support. they stay in the middle ground and stay in the middle. They are usually the ones applying tactics, and are in control of American/Vietnamese affairs.

NOTE: Depending on the number of people joining we might have to ditch the sub-classes.

Also, as far as your standard loadout, you may or may not choose to substitute the items for other personals.

Brief History: Oliver was born to a middle-class Seattle family. He always had a love for the army, but never quite got along with his parent. His father especially, didn't get along with him. In fact one day, they got into an argument and Oliver's father shot him in the torso with a pistol. After leaving the hospital, he and his mother moved to California Boring conflicting emotions about his father, his world was turned upside down when he found out his father was planning to move back in with them. He had no other escape but to join the military.

He served in anchorage as a private for the 21st battalion, and worked to liberate Alaska from the Chinese. Altogether it was two years worth of fighting before it was finally over, and he had been promoted to Staff Sergeant for excellence in battle.

From there, he was quietly recruited by the military to be sent on a black ops mission in Vietnam. It was a hard decision, but he had nothing to go back to. It wasn’t until after he’d signed on that he found out he would be the leader of the group--they never told him that there was to be no evacuation. With his acute knowledge and a small folder entailing his regimen upon touchdown, he embarked on a journey to complete what might be his last mission.

Geographical Overview

Even though there was nuclear war, America deliberately avoided Vietnam for this purpose. They figured the actual vegetation would make it easier for their soldiers to stay hidden.

Monsoons - These areas are places of fertile ground, where agriculture is often planted. It is also known for its soft mushy ground

Rice Patties - These are places where rice is harvested. these areas are always muddy, as that is the best type of ground to grow rice.

Villages - These places are more sparse than before the war, but the remaining living communists that live there are irradiated, and ghoulified.

Red River Delta - The is the main river path that you will follow inland. Because of the condensation and evaporation, the mist has formed here, which you will need to trek through before you get to the main bases.

The Mist - This is a particular area that is aways shrouded in mist, and where mist is, are also the remnants of the Vietnamese as well as rabid animals.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Locations

Wi Luai Base - Overall base of operations in Vietnam, and the rumored location of Jing Wei, and main base of operations for when the bombs dropped. The majority of is is underground as well as a secret entrance.

Crimson Bunker - The place of rendezvous, this will be your HQ until you are ready to continue on. Chances are once you leave this you will not be able to return, because of how far inland Jingwei and his men are.

Dangers/Enemies (not necessary to look at)

Spoiler
Dangers/Enemies

Land Mines - these things are usually coated in thick mud and can only barely be seen by their faint orange low which signifies ‘ready’

Dragonsuit Snipers - There aren’t many of these, as most were made and shipped to or in Alaska. However, there are a few scattered through the trees, ever on the lookout for food and enemies.

Elephants - These giant things are only found near rivers, but they are now defomed and uglier than before. The dangerous water has bleached their skin white, and their tusks have grown

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OLC_7s1u7ho/R9CZKRrb8NI/AAAAAAAAANg/FW2rOtQ-5QY/s400/Zombie_Zoo__Tiger_Colors_by_Zatransis.jpg Most are dead, but the dozen or so hat are alive are ghoulified and incontrollable, often chest deep in mud and slop, they are rarely their true color and often shrouded in mud and dirt.

Leopards - Like their tiger cousins, these all huge cats are deadly. Most never escape from their clutches. Thankfully, they have a large food supply, therefore are often seen lounging in the trees above, but when hinting, will eat anything with flesh.

Yao Guai - Speaks for itsself

Vietnamese Gecko - These are different from their American counter-part. They don’t have a shrilled mane, but make up for it with evil piercing eyes that are said to temporarily petrify al lookers. They are VERY hard to spot since their brownish green color helps them to blend in with the enviornment, but once seen can be easilly shot and killed.

Deer - You may think that there are no deer in Vietnam, but theres more to this country than you know. These animals are ghoulified and deathly, but also brain dead. They are merely a source of food for the other irradiated beasts of the jungle.

Monkeys - These ferocious creatures can attack quickly and with force. Thankfully, their height advantage makes then mostly harmless unless you upset them.

Birds - Most tropical birds no longer live in Vietnam, and flew farther south once the bobs dropped, however you will see a few harmless ones here and there. They used to feed on the smaller insects, but because of the radiation mutations, most insects now feed on them

Insects - There are many types, the most deadly being the ones on the ground. There are giant carnivorous (and poisonous) Millipedes, caterpillars, and even Beetles. The ants there don’t spew fire but a corrosive muddy brown fluid that does limited harm to anything it touches in short painful bursts. Some insects can even eat leopards and tigers.
