Hi all,

I have what seems to be a common issue... Fallout 3 crashing. I have been looking through the forums and seen many others with similar problems, but not the one I am specifically having. Namely, it is crashing whenever I try to load a game.

A short history:

I installed the game a couple of days ago and it crashed whenever I tried to start a new game. I came on the forum, followed the advice (updated graphics card drivers, downloaded latest version [1.7] and that seemed to do the trick. I then had an hour or so of playing, saved my progress and returned to it today... but whenever I try to load my save game, it crashes. "Fallout 3 has stopped working" is the standard error message that comes up.

I find it odd that I was able to play it before, but not now. So - any ideas?


UPDATE ---

It seems that disabling Smart Doctor AND Gamer OSD was the way forward. I hadn't removed Gamer OSD... so, solved!
