Hello! Well, he's my problem. I used to play my copy of Fallout 2 on XP with no problems...with Vista, I've had tons and tons of problems. Either I end up with the game not starting up after the "Please Stand By" screen, or it crashes when it tries to load characters/ you start a new game. I have no idea why this is... I want to use the Restoration mod too, but am yet to add it. If anyone can link some good instructions on installation, that'd be great.... I've googled a few, but all of them haven't really helped.
