Well, I would love to hear some early to late 50s pop. Perhaps the Chordettes with their hit "Mr. Sandman." I also hope that the next DJ is more like three dog and less like Mr. New Vegas. By that, i mean entertaining.

I'd love to go back to the east coast and have the return of THREEEEE DOGGGGG! Coming at ya live and in the flesh from post apocolyptic Washington DC, keeping on fighting the good fight!

Personally I would prefer if they just left out a DJ in the next one. In other words just have stations like Mojave radio that play only music. Unless of course, a radio is pertinent to the storyline and having a personality is important (ie. Enclave radio in Fallout 3). Otherwise Mr. New Vegas was pretty pointless.

If there must be a DJ though, I don't want anyone like Three Dog or Mr. New Vegas (sorry Wayne Newton). I'd prefer someone with a voice like Malcolm McDowell (aka Eden). Someone who no matter what they say they are a pleasure to listen to.

I'd like to go back to the East Coast, hearing the blazes of Three Dog's son, recounting the tales of many travellers who are living in the lush green enviroments of the Capitol Wasteland, which was reformed and remade with help from the Lone Wanderer, using the amazing technology he/she found on Mothership Zeta to terraform the planet back to what it used to be!

Oh.. right... music. Umm, Orange Coloured Sky, stuff like that...

Well for my idea (which I doubt your familiar with) would have a few stations. One for the BoS which would be ran by Three-dog. Then there are 3 other factions, but only 1 other one would have a station, the others have no need. Then also one of the neutral towns runs a station which would have a neutral view on the things that go on, the don't support them and won't be afraid to say if they were good or bad for people.

Three-dog would play his upbeat music, but other than that whatever seems appropriate.

I don't want some disembodied AI voice who "appeals" to the stereotypical 50's female demographics, some AI who spouts nothing but propaganda, or some all-music station. I want a real, honest person who delivers things like they are and wholeheartedly believes in their actions. I also want someone who comments on what our character is doing and either praises him/her for their good acts or demonizes him/her for their evil acts. Basically: less computers, more humans. Even more Basic: bring Three Dog and Galaxy News Radio back.

On the one hand I agree that people are better than computers (Mr. New Vegas doesn't hold a candle to Three Dog, or even Agatha IMO) but I would like to hear a little more propaganda. In fact during World War Two Japanese and German radio stations broadcast propoganda to Alied soldiers, saying things like "Hoover is sleeping with your wives" and "Uncle Sam is stealing your land and enslaving your children." While these were meant to demoralize troops, now they serve as more of a joke. The same was done during the Korean war by the Chinese and the Vietnam war by Russian agents IIRC. If there is a war between two factions in the new game, I'd like to hear more propganda from both sides.

IMO NV really missed out on an oppertunity for propaganda broadcasts, particularly with the NCR propganda posters against the Legion.

You speak the truth, but if I had to choose only 1 Radio Station/DJ it would be a more human character. I do like the idea of an additional propaganda station depending on the faction, but I found that while walking for New Vegas I missed hearing Three Dog's voice more than I did having John Henry Eden talk about his "childhood" with his dog and his parents or how the Enclave is trying to bring the US back.

They always seem to bring out old songs that have long been forgotten or never even heard of in some instances. Which is never a bad thing to me. FOr the love of god though by the time I'd heard the billionth THREEEEE DOOOOG! I was about ready to off myself. Give the Dj's more lines! Make them more beleivable. Maybe get them to tell a story or something that is broken up by music or events going on in the world that make you want to stay tuned just to find out what happened. (Like Daring Dashwood).

Only good thing with GNR was the music and "The Adventures of Herbert Daring Dashwood and his Stalwart Ghoul Manservant Argyle!". Three Dog, though, can go [censored] himself.

Since Fallout 3 had a wild, says it how it is radio voice, I think the new DJ should be more calm and have a deep, high-on-drugs voice but is still nice and smoothing to listen to, almost like a male pormstar voice trying to act seductive. Over the radio we can hear him smoking in the back. My inspiration is the radio voice from the movie, Reservoir Dogs.

I'd like a couple of rival stations, and DJs on either comment on news of the day as viewed through their own ideological prism.

It'd really make me happy if the DLC hooks were largely inserted into the existing stations whether as ads, news specials, or even interviews instead of given their own broadcast looping a single ad indefinitely.

As for music, I'd like some more variety popping up. Some music in the style of early rock music, some foreign tracks and some propagandistic tunes.

There are people in this thread that didn't like Three Dog? Are you people mad? Man, the first time I heard Three Dog talking about MY character on the radio in Fallout 3, friggin' chills went up my arms. I thought it was so COOL. The voice actor who done Three Dog was awesome! Now, as far as New Vegas, I found Mr New Vegas (Wayne Newton) to be very boring. At least Three Dog sounded like a REAL radio DJ.

The guy who was the DJ voice in Reservoir Dogs (K-Billy's Super Sounds of the 70's) was a comedian by the name of Steven Wright. I agree. He WOULD be a cool DJ in a Fallout game.
