Just found special encounter ive never seen before in fallout 2. I saw the blinking cross instead of the lightning bolt when I got into the encounter so I know its a special one.

I get attacked by some slavers in a map that looks normal at first but there are these arrows in the ground pointing to a pot.

Theres nothing inside the pot and I am not sure whether I should drop something inside or what...

any body seen this one and\or know what to do with it?

I'm not sure if the cross means it's a special encounter, or just a less combat oriented encounter (if there are friendlies involved, for example). The 'special' encounters usually hang around on the map after you find them. That's a camp, I've found that setting once or twice, and I believe that pot, behind a bush, surrounded by organic matter, is none other than a 'place to park your waste' you say you made your character look inside? Gross, I suggest you get him/her to a doctor as soon as possible, they might have hepatitis.
