So I have played Fallout 3 GOTY edition on my laptop before many times with no problems like this one. My computer recently crashed and I had to reinstall all my files including my fallout 3 files. I started playing the game for about 2 hours and then I saved as usual. When I went back to play the only option on the main menu screen was "New." This happens every time I try playing which makes it impossible to move on. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice with no luck. I also can physically see files from last year when I started playing the game, but no files from recently... Can someone pleeeease help me because I absolutely love this game and I want to play it again. I know these forums might be pretty dead but I would greatly appreciate any sort of help I can get! Thanks!

Not to be a smart a**, but have you installed the DLC recently? I had the same issue when I did, & all I had to do was click Live & sign in. After signing in, close the game & find you saved games folder. There should be a new folder bearing the title of your gamer tag. Move the saved game files from your previous game into the one bearing your gamer tag name (only the files within the folder just so we are clear) Now go back into Fallout, click Live, and you should once again have access to your saved games.

I don't run windows live while playing Fallout, it's through Steam =P. And I believe the DLCs downloaded with the game itself....
