I hope Bethesda Game Studios learns from this and adds some absolutely amazing writing for quest storylines in the expansion packs that they will be selling for Fallout 4.

I also wish they got rid of the 4 choices dialogue wheel.

Then I might, just might purchase Fallout 4.

Thoughts? Do you think Bethesda Game Studios is going to step it up hard now? Since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt set the bar for open world RPG video games?

The PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is also sold on gog.com 100% Digital Rights Management (DRM) free.

The gog.com PC gamers enjoy playing their singleplayer only video games like candy, so I'm willing to bet at least 30,000+ are playing the gog.com version of the PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

And why? Because Witcher 3 is not a Steam game, it's with GOG

On topic: Fallout 4 is still a good game, just the quest design is IMHO underwhelming ( not enough quest branching, too much simple kill-loot-return quests )

The question is "Can they step up their writing?".

OK

Let's compare how many people are listening to Frederic Chopin and how many are listening to Justin Beiber.

Let's compare how many people watched Still Alice and how many people watched Guardians of the Galaxy.

Let's compare how many people have read uh... Pride and Prejudice, and how many have read 50 Shades of Grey.

...

There is some hope you might get the point.

Sight, more PC gamers are playing the gog.com version of the PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on gog.com. 1 Million of them activated it through GoG Galaxy about 2 weeks or so after The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt released for sale, where as the Steam version only sold 650,000 copies sold in that same time.

Actually, Witcher 3 is 25th on the list, and was released 7 months ago compared to FO 4 2 months, and of course this is PC only.

And as pointed out it also sold on GOG. If I have a choice between getting a game on GOG or Steam I always go with GOG.

No, the question is do they care more about sales or awards? Fallout 4 has sold a damn lot more than Witcher 3, if they are happy with that, no point in making any changes.

I have given this thread it's due consideration. Now I'll go back and play some more Fallout 4. What I'm trying to say is that I don't give a rat's behind about some stupid award. I love FO4 and I think it's an awesome game.

I have to ask though. Why do you bash the game at every opportunity even though you have not played it? For example I have absolutely no interest in Witcher 3 but I'm never on their forums.

No they didn't I know quite a few people who have 300+ hours played, 500+ hours played, and so on of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

I have 270 hours played of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt played until the Blood and Wine expansion pack releases for sale, the I will be playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for 1,000 hours and then 1,000+ hours.

I never got bored of playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I'm taking a break so I can play both expansion packs from start to finish, so I can experience playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in it's full completion.

To be fair, TW3 and F4 were released around the same time. it's not really a valid comparison unless you're comparing Chopin's recent works with Beiber's stuff. And Chopin hasn't been terribly prolific since he died.

On the other hand, most folks don't listen to Chopin over Steam, so it's possible his ratings would be through the roof.

Next TES will likely suffer from all the exact same problems as Bethesda continues to use their outdated engine and not do anything with their writing team.

I don't bash Fallout 4. I love Bethesda Game Studios developed video games.

It's just some features that they add to their video games that they develop that I hate and the more that get added there comes a point where I'm not going to purchase it, because I will be even more disappointed than I was with their last developed video game, which was The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

I already know for a fact I hate video games with dialogue wheels, other than the Mass Effect video games, which are ok with them. The same goes for the removal of the armor and weapons degradation system instead of improving it, with the crafting system Fallout 4 has. I miss it in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

I don't want to spend money purchasing video games and then feel disappointed in my purchase.

That true, I think he was trying to point out that a lot of people bought it on GOG so the numbers aren't as accurate to a game sold only on Steam, which FO 4 is steam only, so it is obvious it would have high Steam numbers compared to a game that was on Steam and GOG. I would personally always go with GOG if given the choice, because I like DRM free.

Yet the http://www.gog.com/forum/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt#1451909865 there are empty, with page one showing posts made two whole days ago. Here in Fallout 4 forum posts are only three hours old at most on page one.

Also true. Then again, in 10 years, people will a lot likely remember TW3 than F4. Not that BGS or Bethesda itself cared about that either, eh. Just sales and hours played to give drones like that "arguments" - that's why there's so much of busywork in F4.

It's not really relevant, I was (not so subtly) hinting that sales != quality. Too bad lovefool somehow completely that, hah.

And frankly, I can't recall name of any modern music artist who has original and amazing music. Tips welcome :D

I am glad you enjoyed it, it was a game that I didn't enjoy and deleted it from my Steam folder, although I have since put it back and may try it again when I have had enough of FO 4.

At least I don't go onto their forums and say how it wasn't as good as FO 4 and how they should learn from Bethesda - but then this is the internet and it takes all types (obviously).

Most people don't care to ever post on forums of video games or other websites. I never did until 2011.

I lurked and read the Bethesda Softworks forums since 2002. It went through at least 3 changes if I remember correctly, there was like a creme color it had like no moderators or something, then it went to a green color I think for Fallout 3.

I have a lot of real life friends who play video games and don't care to ever post or talk about anything on any forums on any websites on the internet, ever.

I decided to in 2011 because I was getting so upset I wanted to make my voice heard I guess.

Just maybe you should be hanging out there, in the forums of a game you actually play.

You could turn that forum into something active!

I didn't say it was bad or good. I just said I hope they learn. I'm not allowed to hope?

Oops my bad, I completely misread your comment I think?
