I spent at least an hour getting into this game and I needed a break, so I saved and quit, I went back on earlier and the load game option was blacked out :C

I have also been having this issue. I am not sure if it is related but after upgrading to windows 10 a few months ago my older fallout games stopped saving as well. I read somewhere that it might be due to having the game installed on a different drive than the one the OS is on cause that seems to be where the saves are stored. Why this would make a difference I don't know. In any case I tried to fix it but nothing worked so I gave up and patiently waited for Fallout 4. It seems my issues may have followed me. I really don't want to go through a new OS install in order to play one game. Please help.

Same exact issue, ive got Windows 10 as well, but i havent encountered the problem before. I hope Besthesda gets on it fast so i can start playing the game i spent $60 for.

Windows 10 made my other Bethesda games unsaveable as well. This is a serious matter Bethesda needs to fix NOW!

The solution is:

Exit Steam.

Right click on Steam and choose ''run as administrator''.

To start the game, right click on the icon on your desktop and choose ''run as administrator'' as well.
