All right, so I just downloaded the Fallout New Vegas GECK (5.9mb .zip, in case that's important. No installation, just extraction), and when I go into Files>Data and try to load up FalloutNV.esm, nothing happens. Well, everything clears to white (as opposed to gray), and the bottom of the screen says "Done.", but there is nothing there to work with. I have New Vegas on Steam, if that's a factor. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you didn't get the latest version of the Geck. Please make sure you have 1.4. The link on the website appears to sometimes be incorrect. (but other times is somehow right...?) Look around this area of the forum, there are a few threads that have the correct link in them.
