OOC: I had to go mid-post. I will update it with the story. Updated. :)

IC: Jared heard Lucius ask him about his scar, while gulping down a swig of ale. He sat down at the table stretching his hurt leg, readying himself for the walk to come. Jared remembered that night like it had been yesterday.

Jared sat on the ramparts of Castle Skingrad, blending in with the night, he watched his target. A home, a grand home, for lords and ladies of the town. The house itself was more of a stone and wood fortress. There were two guards that had been patrolling, but now were socializing. Some local prosttutes had been walking by and caught there attention. Jared was thinking, How typical, corrupted guards. Jared knew now was his chance. He scaled down the stone wall using cracks and bad masonry as his grips. He landed deftly making no noise, on the opposite side of the house as the guards.

He sprinted up to the house, and picked the lock in the window. It was simple, and Jared was in the house in no time. As he entered the house, he found himself a nice corner to lay low in for a while. He studied his surroundings and inferred what he could from what he heard. He heard several overlapping snores, and he knew that the house was only inhabited by a aristocrat couple. He heard a third snore, so one guard was already out. He heard several footsteps and saw a guard walk around. "Jeez, it's freezing in here. Who opened the window?" the guard whispered to himself.

Jared had gotten lucky. He had forgotten to close the window and if any of these guards were professional he would be caught in a matter of moments. Instead the guard shut the window and went back to patrolling the premises. Jared snuck into an office, finding some papers. There's usually some kind of valuable documents in here, like a deed or bank note, Jared thought. He began sifting through the desk full of papers only to find a gold plated paperweight. Jared stuff the weight into a pouch on his belt, and checked the hallway to see if it was clear. The rest of the rooms on the first floor were filled with useless items, that would only weigh him down for such a small price he would fetch.

Jared crept up the stairs and into a small closet, and waited for the guard upstairs to pass him. He peeked out and saw the guard receding down the hallway into another room. A beautifully carved door with designs and decorations unlike he had ever seen before caught his eye, and clearly marked the entrance to the master bedroom. He carefully turned the knob and held the door ajar. He then slipped through the barely opened door where his eye's were drawn to an elegant jewelry box. Jared tiptoed over to the box, and looked at the lock. He whipped out a small brittle lockpick, inserting it into the lock feeling the tumblers. The man rolled over and mumbled something startling Jared, but he kept his composure, and continued the job. After several elongated moments, Jared cracked the lock to open the box. It was filled with golden jeweled trinkets. Jared opened the pouch and carefully placed each in, making not one clink. Pleased with himself, he left the room without thinking. Down the hall was the guard, staring at Jared, dumbfounded.

They both watched eachother before deciding what to do. Jared began to charge the guard, pulling out his silver shortsword halfway to the guard. As he unsheathed his sword, Jared began the slide, and knocked the guard down by hitting him at the ankles. The guard fell forward, and at the same time Jared thrust his sword upward, impaling the guard on the sword. The guard cried out in pain, and the snores stopped. Jared had been caught. The guard downstairs was running up the stairs after seeing his fallen comrade. The guard flailed his sword wildly catching Jared across the cheek, slicing down, through his leather armor, across his chest. Jared cried out in pain, and charged the guard. If the guard hadn't been off balance, recovering from a swing, and on the top of the stairs, then Jared's attack would have gone unphased. Fortunately for Jared, the guard tumbled down the stairs, with him following right behind. Jared was not stunned like the guard, and sprinted towards the window he came in from.

Suddenly the guard that had been sleeping, came out of a room asking what happened. Jared knowing he couldn't stay and unlock the window and climb out, used momentum and power to dive through the window shattering it with his shoulder. He rolled onto the ground, glass shards covering his arm, and took off sprinting for the comfort of darkness. When Jared felt he had evaded all the guards, Skingrad or personally hired, he looked at his wound. He had a deep cut going down from his cheek to his chest, that was bleeding less violently than when it was first cut. Jared was in pain, and he was lucky. Lucky to have gotten the goods, lucky to be alive.

"Oh, it was nothing. I ran into a bandit while traveling from Skingrad to the Imperial City. He caught me across the face with his sword before I could get a chance to get a good hit in." Jared lied. "Looks pretty nice though doesn't it." Jared added in a joking manner. But now was not a time to joke, and Jared knew it.

"I HAVE NO....CHOICE, DO I?" Zyle said angrily while looking towards the group. "When shall we leave friends?" he asked while twirling his injured shoulder as it began to show pain. "WE ALL GOING TO DIE!" a civilian said while screaming and trying to get away from the chapel, but a guard quickly restrained the insane man. "Looks like we not the only ones going crazy." Zyle said.

"I am afraid I know little about lycanthropy, they are not usually encountered in Morrowind. But I don't know how much of my own will I can exert as a werewolf, and until we can somehow gain control over it, I'm afraid that the only thing to do is to quarantine the infected population, including us." Aven spoke grimly.

"Fortunately, I know of a Telvanni, Divayth Fyr, who maintained a place under his tower to hold those infected with Corprus, a similar but even more terrible disease. If we get into that nearby abandoned tower, we could research a cure by day and hopefully prevent ourselves from infecting anyone else by night. Either way, I don't think there's any other ideal location that we could reach before sundown. If Christo and Liarah haven't been infected, they could search for a cure in the meantime, if they wish to help," Aven spoke, with a slightly more hopeful tone. He only hoped that there was hope for them.

Zyle began thinking What if becoming one of these things, wouldn't be so. bad. Zyle then looked towards Aven "What do you think about lycanthropy? I mean it's always a first for something, Look at the positive points. Incredible strength, heighten senses, and many more. The weaknesses would be silver." Zyle said while looking towards the group.

Aven replied to Lucius, "We have no time, we need to get there before sundown." He then turned to Zyle.

"Perhaps there are advantages, but it would be best if we first see how much we can control our werewolf bodies, and be sure we can control whatever monstrous urges that they hold. I don't want to end up murdering innocents when I"m a werewolf. And I certainly don't want to come to my senses every morning almost naked."

"then lets get going..."said Lucius..."zyle....you may want to rethink wanting to become a werewolf....for your own good...if you attack us we may have to put you down...and we dont want to do that...then youd never get revenge for waht happend to your parents..." Lucius said while looking over at the rest of the group.

Christo was barely following the conversation, he just stood there nodding, actualy he had no idea whay they were talking about.
He couldn't stop but think about all those who had died, why had he been so cowardly lately and who in Oblivion's names were these new people but it seemed these people were discusing something importnalty so he didn't want to disturb and just nodded.

Liarah gave Aven a confused look, acting as if she didn't knew what he was talking about but suddenly she yelled out:
"Where's Lycan?!" She just noticed that he wasn't here anymore.

Jared had become disappointed once they had established that they weren't going to Frostcrag Spire. Instead they were going to some far off place, where they could possibly cure some stupid disease. He would just have as well gone to a different city, but there was probably something of worth there. If this place was like a medical facility than they were sure to have cure disease potions. Cure disease potions and scrolls often sold well, especially if he wanted to get a beggar to tell him something. Jared decided to tag along then, just to see what would happen, and make some septims while he was at it.

"So . . . when are we leaving?" Jared asked, expecting an answer.

Zyle laughed at what Aven said and agreed. "My thought is clearly a yes, but surely they have a library to study these beasts." He then looked towards Liarah "Lycan is gone; he left just before the attack". He said

OOC: I thought we were going to the corprus place.

IC: "I already said what I do. I'm a traveling merchant." Jared responded to Lucius. The room was quiet, and then a scream echoed through the chapel. A rush of footsteps and exclaimed comments began to spread through the chapel. Jared looked out into the main chapel room and saw a nord man holding up his sword against the woman who had been next to Jared. He was holding her with his arm across her throat. She took every chance to scream through her irregular gasps for air. The nord woman kicked and squirmed against the bulky, muscular man. He had a sword, it looked like it was steel or silver. It could have easily have been a claymore to Jared, but in that man's hands it was a shortsword.

The man was screaming, "The wolves want to eat! They want a meal! I say we sacrifice someone for the good of Bruma. It will buy us some time!"
"Not enough time! By the time they will have left, we will be murderous bastards just like them!" A guard yelled.

One guard stepped forward, his shield at the ready. He opened up his defences and made a quick strike, at the side without the woman on it. Unfortunately the large Nord parried the strike with his blade knocking the guards sword to the ground. The Nord ordered the guard to lay face down, his hands behind his neck, on the chapel floor. The woman wouldn't stop shrieking.

"If you don't shut up, I'm gonna snap your neck before anyone agrees or disagrees about whether to kill you!" The Nord shouted, quieting the chapel. Jared was worried for the woman's life. She wiggled under his grasp, but he kept his arm firmly placed against her throat. "Are you guys going to do anything?" Jared asked, signaling to the group in the Priest's quarters.

OOC: i thought he was just speaking of it and talking about makin one in frostcrag for werewolf infected people.

IC: "frend...you dont have to do this...more immportantly you dont want to because the lot of us are armed..skilled and dangerous, and you your just some crazy scared man who seems to know a thing or two about swordplay but i assure you, we are much more skilled than you, so why dont you let her go and hopefully you wont end up in the dungeons or dead....trust me its the smart thing to do.."Said Lucius to the nord while revealing his sheathed shortsword that was hidden behind his cloak.

Aven put on his helmet, hiding his grim expression, and spoke to Liarah. "I am afraid that Zyle and myself must take up asylum in Frostcrag Spire, or else we will only be endangering everyone else. If the tower does not hold the means or any leads to a cure, I'm afraid that you and Christo are the city's, and ourselves' only hope. And watch out for the big werewolf, he's still out there."

Aven then turned to a guard, ignoring the turmoil playing out. "My recommendation would be to put those infected in prison cells, we can't let the town get overrun by lycanthropy."

"well at the very least i can be the warden or the treatment giver because i cant contract diseases so im safe for contact....and if all our research fails we'll contact divayth fyr..hes been around for at least 2000 years...and hes sort of an expert at physical altering diseases..... for example he has cured one man of the corpus not to long ago...the nerevarine if im not mistaken...but then again it was prophecy that the nerevarine couldnt be killed by disease......but corpus is quite a bit worse from what ive seen in the corpusarium so he should have no problem curing you two well lets hope so"said Lucius, whos eyes were still on the crazed nord in the chapel.

They're just having conversations amongst themselves, Jared thought casting away the others. Jared grabbed his bow, and fastened the quiver to his back. He ran back towards a dark corner, where he wouldn't be seen. The chapel was perfect for climbing. It had ridges and grips, everywhere he needed one. He climbed up to a ledge, hidden in the dark. Jared looked out towards the Nord.

It looked different from this angle. Almost peaceful as the man on the floor lay still, the Nord standing, like a guardian, and the woman finally given up with screaming and squirming. The man was trapped, the church wall to his back and the guards on every other side of him. Good, that will make for an easier shot. I won't have to worry about accidentally hitting a guard, not that I would ever miss, Jared thought, surprised at his boastful thought. He pondered a while, amazed that the standstill was still going on. No one below him looked like they were going to make a move.

Jared nocked a barbed arrow. He pulled back, aiming for the man's thigh. He let the arrow fly. It flew straight and true, burying its head deep into the Nord's thigh. The Nord roared in pain. Thinking the guards had began to attack, the Nord shouted, "IF I DIE, SHE DIES!", while lifting his sword, and slitting the woman's throat. For a moment nothing happened, but then the Nord's blade left her throat a shimmering red. Her neck spurted blood. It covered the Nord, herself, and the floor around them. She was dead, her clothes stained with blood. An innocent woman dead because of him. Jared felt rage, pure untouched rage. His blood raced through his veins and he hammered his fists against the wall. He wanted to avenge her, and make it right.

I shouldn't care. I'm a heartless thief who does heartless things. I steal, I plunder, I murder. The word murder stayed in his head, controlling his thoughts.

The guards started to advance. The Nord dropped the woman, yelling battle cries, as he plunged into the crowd of guards.

Zyle heard screams and quickly unsheathe his scimitar and ran towards the sounds, but was too late as the screams stop. Yelling and screams of a man then began to fill the air "Nord, you have murder someone in cold blood and now you must be put down." Zyle said. Zyle then began to feel the disease running through his vein, enhancing his senses just a little and his strength.

Aven did not attack the Nord, he wasn't sure if it would accelerate or somehow increase the disease's influence. He patiently watched it play out, hoping that the Nord murderer gets what he deserves. Around that time, a thought hit him; there was one way he knew out of lycanthropy; transformation into a lich. Of course, he could no longer interact with others, but if he could not find another cure, he'd rather have the power of a lich than that of a werewolf. And a secluded wizard's tower would be ideal for seeking knowledge of how to do both.

Aven knew one thing; he wasn't going to tell anyone about his backup plan except for Zyle. And even then, Aven wasn't sure if he would be able to go through with it even if he couldn't find a cure for lycanthropy.

OOC:Awwww that svcks..but it was your choice D=

IC:..."theres nothing we could have done he would have just slit her throat anyway...i suppose if you see an opening you should take not try to talk the enemy down like i did...."Said Lucius, two people dead and i may have been able to save one... thatll be the first and last time itry to talk someone down...it couldnt be helped..and i bear the responiblity but i should focus on the matter at hand finding a cure..that is my main concern finding a cure for these two and not just these two but for people in general..i still have no idea what there motives are for bein in bruma..i suppose ill have to figure that out aswell...as for the breton i dont know his motives for helping zyle and aven well i suppose theyd figure the same about me 'why am i helping'....i personally want to help the redgaurd get his revenge and,to help the dunmer out of his exile from morrowind..i dont have any reasons for helping them i guess..i just want a vacation from bein a contract killler and id like to see how this whole thing plays out, thought Lucius.
