I really really hope they spend less money on hiring big name famous movie actors and instead hire more GOOD actual voice actors. Don't get me wrong, Patrick and the others were great (though his part was extremely short).
The main problem is that when you hire big-known actors, you don't "hear" the character, you hear the person behind tihe voice. When you heard Patrick talking, did you PICTURE it as Patrick, or the king?
With a good talented voice actor, someone like say, Maurice LaMarche, Rob Paulsen, JIm Cummings, Mark Hamill (yes that Mark Hamill), etc you get people who can bring THAT character to life, to give that character their own voice. You don't hear them talking and go "oh, that's Mark Hamill and Rob Paulsen." You just get lost in the character. The good thing about actual voice actors also is that they change drastically change their voice, for the price it cost to hire Patrick Stewart to voice a single character for 5 minutes you could hire someone who could voice even MORE then one character and not even be able to tell that it's the same person doing the voice.
Look at Maurice LaMarche, on Futurama he voices Kif, Cauclon, Morbo, along with a ton of small roles on the show for characters that aren't in it but a few times.
