Famous Actors in Skyrim : V

As in all Beth games, there will undoubtably be a few famous voice actors. Oblivion had Patrick (dead in 2 minutes) Stewart and Sean Bean and Fallout 3 had Liam Neeson and the imitable Malcom McDowell. We all know there will be a famous voice driving a lot of the action in the game, so what celebrities would you like or expect to see?

Personally, I have no idea who to expect but I would like to see Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory). Its also not very far fetched that he would do it as he does like roleplaying games, not to mention a product placment of the game in the show would also be realistic.

None, save the money and spend it to either hire a greater number of voice actors or spend it on other, IMO, more important things

50 Cent, Allica Keys, Beyonce, Mike Tyson, Wayne Brady, that Atlltel insurance guy, Samuel L. Jackson, the chick that was in the Ying Yang Twinz video Whisper (that starred in Resident Evil 5), me, Sean Connery.

Honestly there is so many voice actors that have done cartoons and animations, they can easily be picked up. There are still people out there that done Swat Katz and still going strong.

I can only hope that Ralph Cosham's still on board. Wes Johnson Bretons were a...painful experience in Morrowind.

None. They cost money I'd rather see spent on game development, and any random person will do fine for voices.

Wes Johnson did the Breton voices in Morrowind? I was unaware.. That was painful. And I really like Wes Johnson.

This. I only know Patrick Stewart was there for his extremely recognizable voice, in an extremely small role that didn't need him. Apparently Martin had a celebrity voice actor, I'd have never known if he wasn't mentioned a lot. Did anyone else have one? I can't even tell. Really don't see the need to spend that much extra money on what is probably not going to make a big difference.

It was Sean Bean, Boromir from the Lord of the Rings movies, among others. I like him, but I agree that money should be spent elsewhere. Apparently some folks have recognized the voice in the new teaser trailer, so it looks like Bethesda may be going the famous people route again. Which really I have little to no qualms with.

FYI, Bethsda got that kind of money to get (noticeable) actors. One thing about making money is you can't hold back if you really want to get a great payoff. I would say that there will be noticeable actors and also various good voice actors from other games, movies and cartoons.

for gods sake dont have people just david duchovny and such. they just have monotonous boring voices. sean bean was the same in oblivion.
get people that at least care a little about the impact their voice has in a video game.

plenty of non-famous voice actors aswell. theres some great talent around, you dont always have to pick the people that voice manga and jrpgs all the time

No, if anything he would be the narrator...

Max Von Sydow seems to be involved. I don't know who I'd like to see... Maybe Michael Fassbender, Ian McKellen, Christopher Plummer, James Earl Jones, Mark Hamill, Tom Hardy, or Christopher Lee. I like those people's voices. I hope to see a lot of the old Elder Scrolls voice talent return, like Wes Johnson and Lynda Carter.

Not necessarily

There are quite a few movies that had some major actors in it that flopped. There are also lots of movies that spent millions of dollars only to get shot down at the box office.

More money spent on the game doesn't always mean more sells

I've always been agitated by the fact Oblivion had 14 voice actors including the celebrities. Since there were so few some of them sounded absolutely foolish trying to modulate their voices to sound like a different character. I find it hard to believe they can't afford to pay union scale to a few dozen talented but relative unknown voice actors.
