Hey guys,

So the project has hit a bit of rut in the road because of school. I can probably get some work done today, but no promises. This weekend was busier than I expected, so I didn't have a lot of time. Anyway, bear with us during this time period.

Demo Progress: 95% done. Aughh!!! So close! I just need to put in a few scripts, mainly the respawn, write some dialogue, and set some aggressions, and we're done!

Uglulyx: Sorry for not testing out your idea earlier. It works. Just add an On Death script that increments the death toll variable by one, and you're good.

Yay! On another note I have the parrot model done, I have a feeling the guy I asked to do the ground meshes forgot about me or something. :P I'll try finish up the .esp tonight or tomorrow and give you a shout with the link to the mod.

Again, sorry, I actually got some work done, mainly because we were out of town and I brought my laptop, but I couldn't get on the interenet for more than a couple minutes a day, leeching off nearby home-internets. :)

I put in some more rocks and trees, my progress wasn't huge but at least I got cracking on it again. School starts today, but hopefully teachers will go light on the first day homework (what am I saying? we had summer homework!) Oh well, excited to see the demo, I will post some screens to make up for my lack of new progress on the city.

EDIT: So is everyone on our project team in school?

I'm not, but I devote a LOT of time to my girlfriend, and most of the rest of my time to my new mod for House Dionaea. I have never made a mod myself before. ^^;

Just kidding, nice job Fluffy and good luck. (At least we know he has a life outside of modding)

:)

BTW: I saw your Dionea House thread. If you need any advice, don't hesitate to PM me.

Yeah, in all honesty my life is pretty boring right now, especially after a boring summer, all I really did was hang out with friends... Which wouldn't be bad if we ever knew what to do... <_<
Oh well, things always get better during snowboarding season whooo!
Too bad it can never come soon enough.

Before I forget (again) here are those screenshots I promised, I'm on a crappy laptop so they aren't pretty but I wasn't running at max either, I had the settings pretty low.

Hm...looks good to me Roknroll4.

Uglulyx: Now that we have the script figured out, I need you to use it to finish your battle. Then I'll finish mine, and we'll be ready for the demo release!

Yay!

You have my battle remember? I'd really like to try but I'm getting mauled with stuff at school. I've always hated the first few weeks for that reason. If you can finish mine for me it'd be awesome, I just have the lately, I've been struggling to find time to even do minor stuff finishing up Parrots!. There should be a notepad document somewhere with all the information you'll need to set up the respawns.

If you can't work on it all send me a PM, I might be able to try working on it Saturday.

Rocknroll: Pretty good looking, can't wait to see what that waterfall in game.

Thanks, both of you. The waterfall is the low end of a drying out river, that runs through Ionith (true to lore). I also included a sample Akaviri building, but it was just a test, it may not even appear in the final version.

Uglulyx: I would prefer if you did it; I don't have the same vision as you, and really don't know where to take/finish the battle.

I can see what I can do, though all of the information I gave you should have been enough to help you. I know I can't work on this weekend though. But, I do have spares in the morning next week, I can try get it done during that time. If for any reason I find that I can't get it done I'll send you the .esp file.

How are you guys doing? Any work to report, not much from me again sorry, I guess playing the demo would be the extra little motivation I need to sit down and get a huge chunk done. Are we close to a demo release?

Well guys, I guess I'll deliver the news.

Uglulyx has informed me that he wants to respectfully leave the team. We should all thank him for his work and dedication to this project. Thanks Uglulyx!

Uglulyx's departure means that I will be taking over his battle. However, this also means that it will take longer for us to get the demo released. I'll get to work this weekend to try to do some stuff. Expect a demo maybe a week or so from now. Sorry, but complications and school keep popping up.

This has just demotivated me even more, svcks that he had to leave, we lost a good modder, hope to see you around and thanks for working with us. With school a major factor in all of our lives and fluffy with his gf and other mod, I think its safe to say I'm going to be on hold for a while, not leaving, just saying don't expect anything for a long(ish) period of time, if I decide to sit down and knock out a bunch of work, I'll tell you. I hate school a little bit more now...

EDIT: Did he give you his portion of the mod before he left? We still have his permission to use it right?

Yes I sent it to him. The main reason I left is that I just don't have time or the lasting enthusiasm that's needed for all the script work. I just didn't want that hurting the project. But I can still do textures for you guys so send me a PM if you need any. I've actually been working on texture all weekend, someone is trying to make a mod to bring Skaven to Oblivion. So I just had to make some warpstone armour. :D

Damn, there seems to be a problem.

Uglulyx, you know the exterior cell AfbElsweyrBattleWorld or something? The only named cell in your exterior world? Well, for some reason, whenever I try to select an object in that cell, I can't. It's weird, I'll keep working on it, but just wanted to let you know.

Guys, I've been thinking it over....I can't do the Elsweyr battle fast enough. It's really just me and rokknroll; if we're not careful, this mod will die out. I'm going to finish Sancre Tor and just release that as a demo.

Thanks!

Sorry its been a while, but releasing a Sancre Tor only demo would be awesome, I thought the same thing you did. Hopefully that will bring in new modders and an increased interest in our mod, because right now its (pretty much) just you and me holding it to together right now. If theres anything I can do just let me know.
