At current I have three different fanfics I want to write but I'm having trouble deciding which one to write about so I was looking for thoughts from my fellow forum goers.

My first idea and the one I've got most thought out is the surfacing of a splinter cell of the enclave one that is different then the ones from Navarro and Raven Rock. I don't want to give away to may details but they allow mutants among their ranks and they are planning to spread a virus across the wastes. IT will take place in the Capital Wasteland.

The second takes place around the time of fallout 2 and tells the story of a psyker trying to fit in. I've got a basic concept down for this one but not sure exactly how the whole story will unfold.

The third is about the struggles of Desmond Lockheart as he tries to take down the rest of his pre-war enemies. This idea is very rough but I have a few ideas.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

I vote for either the first idea (enclave splinter group) or the Desmond story. I think The Comedian has a psyker story going on the board right now. Not that you can't do a psyker story, I just like variety! :celebration:

I vote for the Desmond story, but that is pretty much entirely because I liked Desmond and am very much tired of the Enclave.

The problem is I don't really have an idea how to progress the story. I know he's after his pre-war enemies in the intelligence community and he's doing it for survival but that's still not a lot to go on. Can you give me a couple of ideas Smiley.

Desmond story. I think an idea for an enemy would be a line of chinese military personel who try to be perfectionists in all they do. The leader has many sons and daughters with many of the women and pick one boy from the litter to be their 'heir' of the chinese republic/or whatever. The rest become grunts and gaurds.

Only recently their was an upheavel of the leader having only one well trained offspring and it happens to be a girl, this causes alot of controversy among the ranks.

The Splinter Cell/Enclave one. I like things that are tactical and revenge plots don't really attract me.

Desmond's deal is that he's hunting down rivals if I'm not mistaken. So think up a realm of science and a breakthrough. Have some scientist make this breakthrough and he's struggling to put it together. Desmond can be be hunting him down to steal the idea...or stop it out of jealousy...or stop it because it's crazy...or to be a part of it...or just because his dogs are dead and he's really pissed.

Hell that might make for a good short story just to get you started.

A Ghoul and His (New) Dog

Desmond heading West/North/South and mourning the loss of his home and his dogs. Setting his sights on his next rival while also trying to find a new (man's best) friend.

Desmond story for sure.... As for not knowing where to go.... Just make up a nemesis: Someone interesting and unique like the Brain (maybe a Computer Technician named Pinky) and then introduce Desmond into the mix.

Maybe tell the entire story from the POV of the nemesis, not even making reference to Desmond (just a computer tech's regular day) only to have Desmond make a surprise appearance at the end.
