I'll be there.

I'm having my draft tomorrow night with my friends and our league. I suggested a beer a round but we figured that may be too much so we're doing one every other round.

You should switch it back to a beer a round, otherwise you won't be anywhere near drunk until after your important picks have passed. (unless you're a lightweight :P)

Yeah. I want to do one a round. That way, I figure by round 6 or 7, we'll be questioning "Why did I pick 3 TEs in a row?".

I had my draft in my money league the other night. Here is my team:

2. (17) Tom Brady QB
3. (24) Calvin Johnson WR
4. (37) Jermichael Finley TE
5. (44) Jamaal Charles RB
6. (57) Mike Sims-Walker WR
7. (64) Minnesota DEF
8. (77) Johnny Knox WR
9. (84) Jay Cutler QB
10. (97) Nate Kaeding K
11. (104) Ahmad Bradshaw RB
12. (117) Chad Henne QB
13. (124) Steve briaston WR
14. (137) Dustin Keller TE
15. (144) Bernard Berrian WR
16. (157) Julius Jones RB
17. (164) Buffalo DEF
18. (177) Ray Rice RB

Starting lineup:

QB T Brady
RB R Rice
RB F Gore
WR C Johnson
WR M Sims-Walker

I notice you don't have any Cowboys. :P

It's too bad there wasn't any more available spots this year, I'll have to be on top of getting in next year. I love fantasy football.

I hate the Cowboys with the white-hot passions of a thousand suns, but that has nothing to do with fantasy football. There are a few Cowboys I would have drafted but the chips just didn't fall that way. Also I didn't draft a player from 15 other teams besides the Cowgirls.

I'm just saying the Cowboys had the number 2 ranked offense last year and the Saints had the number 1 ranked offense last year and I don't see a single player from either of those teams. Not saying your team is bad I don't know what the settings are for points or anything but I'm not sold on Sims-Walker. Also, Tom Brady at 17? That's a bit too soon. I've seen him drop to the 4th round.

There is no one I would want to get from the Cowboys outside of Romo and Witten.

Oh a couple of weeks ago I missed a draft and this happened. http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/237796/5

Unfortunately thats not my team. :sadvaultboy:

I think I made the mistake of getting Romo last year :/ I picked him in one of my legues this year, I'm in like 6.
In all the leagues I'm in I have pretty good teams, If i wasn't able to get Ray Rice then I'd be able to get a really good QB or WR and still get a good RB later on I'm in one league where you only draft from one team to use all season and one other team just for the bye week.

Yeah I am regretting the Brady pick a bit but this is a keeper league. There are 10 teams and we all keep one player. There were 9 RBs and Phillip Rivers off the board at the start so really it was close to the equivalent of the late 3rd round where I took Brady. I was set at RB and there were no receivers I wanted that high so I went QB; I think Schaub and Romo were still there. I think I would rather have Schaub but not Romo.

The Saints had a good offensive team but don't have many standout players besides Brees and Colston and I didn't even get a chance at either of them. They get a lot of rushing yards and TDs but they are always split between 2-3 players. I had Pierre Thomas last year and he killed me. I would not have drafted him this year for anything. In a league like this with only 10 teams and relatively small starting lineups (only 2 WRs no flex position) the NO receivers just aren't as valuable. Henderson and Meachem are not top 20 receivers so are not starters in this league and my draft just didn't work out to get them. I am not a huge fan of Shockey either, he just gets hurt way too much to trust for a whole season. I would have liked to have him as my #2 TE but he was gone before I was ready for that.

There is no one I would want to get from the Cowboys outside of Romo and Witten.

I would like Miles Austin but not as high as he was picked in the one draft I have done. The Cowboys RB situation is like the Saints'; too many good players to rely on any one of them. Also the 'Boys O-Line is on the downside of their careers and O-lines tend to come apart quickly. I wouldn't be shocked to see the Cowboys offense take a step back this year.

Nobody would take Felix Jones?

Players from the Cowboys I would take

Tony Romo
Felix Jones
Miles Austin
Jason Witten
Hell I'd even take Roy Williams or Marion Barber if you guys don't want them. :P

Maybe I'm biased and maybe I'm biased.

I wouldn't take Roy Williams in a fantasy draft if my life depended on it. I wouldn't take Marion either unless I wanted to sit a RB for a about two weeks because of injury. I love the Cowboys, but the worst thing you can do is be a homer when it comes to fantasy sports. The only guy anyone should seriously consider taking from the Cowboys' roster is Witten, and that's because he's going to consistently produce and he's proven it. Next would be Romo. If Brees, Manning, and Brady are gone, Romo is the next logical pick in my opinion. He's going to put up yards and he's going to throw TD's. You might have to sacrifice a little turnover wise, but if he plays anything like last year, you shouldn't have to worry about that.

Out of the last three seasons of fantasy football, only one time did I have less than two Cowboys on my roster. My winning percentage has been fairly decent. Out of 9 total teams I've won 3 times and the worst I've placed is 5th.

I would take Felix, I forgot about him. The problem is that Cowboys seem to be overrated so they go before I am ready or willing to take them. I wouldn't mind Barber as a 3rd Rb but someone else always takes him before that.

Ok, so we didn't do "1 beer per round" or even "1 beer every other round", but I did have 2 drinks (Vodka + Midori + 7-UP) before the draft and one during, so it's kinda like it. We're in a PPR league with 8 people. We also get to choose 2 defensive players. Here's my draft:

Spoiler
1 - Drew Brees
2 - Frank Gore
3 - Cedric Benson
4 - Dallas Clark
5 - Wes Welker
6 - Derrick Mason
7 - Donald Driver
8 - San Francisco
9 - Knowshon Moreno
10 - Patrick Willis
11 - Charles Woodson
12 - Ryan Longwell
13 - C.J. Spiller
14 - Devin Hester
15 - LaMarr Woodley
16 - Terrell Owens
17 - Greg Olsen
18 - Pittsburgh

I think I did pretty well. Owens and Spiller are my "I'll keep 'em on the bench and see how they do" players.

I am in another on-line draft in 20 minutes. I got the 1st pick in a 14 team league, I don't know if I want to laugh or cry.

No worries. I understand.

My final draft is coming up this Friday... My only money league too this year. The pressure is on.

Pretty damn solid. Ronnie Brown and AP? With Shaub to boot and Roddy White? Thats a good team. Mason has potential as he always does and Hines Ward is basically the only decent receiver they have left and he's not going to have a great QB throwing to him for a couple of weeks. Plus you got GB defense. You are top 3 for sure.

EDIT: P.S. Devin Thomas was a homer pick :P
