So, I had downloaded the Tamriel Heightmaps mod, and used the in game map file that came with it. It replaced all of my map markers with the round, coloured markers, which I don't have an issue with, but I can no longer fast travel. I can highlight a location but when I click on it... nothing happens. No message pops up, nothing. I disabled the Heightmaps mod, reactivated the elven maps I was using before, and the round markers are still there and I still can't fast travel. If anyone knows how to fix this, that would be really helpful. Not being able to fast travel is a real pain, especially since my horse died in Elsweyr...... I can't get anywhere to get another one.... it's really obnoxious, please help.

I apologize in advance if this seems condescending, but...you're not by any chance trying to fast travel from indoors, are you? Because most indoor cells do not permit this.

As a side point, consider the Map Marker Overhaul mod. It gives you a wide variety of icon types, as well as the ability to add your own markers of different kinds, plus set a whole range of configurable options (how near you are before a marker appears, etc).

No I am outside. Not being attacked. Clicking on a location I know, etc. I can "click" on the marker, but the text box for fast travel doesn't pop up.... nothing. The only message I get is when I try to click on a location I haven't found, and I get the "you haven't found this" message...

And do you have a link for that overhaul, maybe that will fix my problem...

I went back to the vanilla map and markers, after trying the map marker overhaul and not having the issue fixed. But even with all the defaults restored and THM deleted, I can't fast travel at all. Is there something in the .ini that I can tweak or something? I just can't figure out what the elven map, markers and THM would have replaced that disabled fast travel, but not being able to fix it is really starting to annoy me.

Please help.
