Fast travel unavailable from this location : Fallout 4

After I went to the national guard training yard for the brotherhood of steel I keep getting the message "fast travel unavailable from this location". There are no enemies near me, not over encumber, and I even went back to the training yard and cleared it. I don't know what to do. Its not the end of the world that I can't fast travel I can play without it, it just comes in handy. Is anyone else having this issue and a way to fix this issue?

I got the same problem it happened after the national guard training yard brotherhood of steel thing for me too. Super annoying i really want a fix.

You can only fast travel when outside (area - Common wealth)

Very annoying glitch. I however had it occur after approaching the first beacon site not even the national guard training yard.

Please sort a patch for this ASAP. So prioritize this one I know PC people can reactivate fast travel through console commands we on the consoles ironically do not have that option.

Merchant glitch exploits are not as important as fast traveling nor do they break the game experience despite what others may want you to believe.

Also if anyone finds a fix please let us know. Going to drown my sorrows in many drinks now!

Hi Gstaff!

I found it had occurred during the "Lost Patrol" mission for the brotherhood of steel.

In another post some people attribute it to the National guard Training Yard location. I however had it occur once i had approached the first beacon site although i was looking around the Med Tec Facility north of the objective location.

I traveled further north to the Asylum and killed the guards out the front and this is when i first tried to fast travel back to the Med facility and it just wouldn't let me there was no notice at this point.

I saved and reloaded now it was showing the "fast travel is currently unavailable from this location" it shows the message when trying to fast travel and when just swapping back a forward from the map on the Pipboy.

The lost Patrol

The Lost Patrol is completed as i walked all the way to the Prydwen to turn it in hoping that the quest ending would clear it. It did not work. I was undertaking the mission in Brotherhood power armor and with Paladin Danse as a companion.

At 42 hours and level 26 i may just abandon this character. Please let us know if there is a fix we can do for this or if we have to wait for a patch that would be very much appreciated.

Hey the this bug seems too have fixed itself for me. I don't what if anything i did to make it work. I got the bug during the lost patrol like everyone did and was super bummed as my last save without the bug was 15~ hours ago so i decided to keep playing on my newest save and hope they would release a patch. I completed the lost patrol and a few other quests and spent maybe 8~ hours more in game and suddenly my fast travel was working again! Sorry i can't be more help.

I tried to complete a few more quests and actually found walking around not that long w/o power armor that is. I still want it fixed though.

Going from the Red Rocket Garage to the Prydwen took around 12mins running in a straight line to it. Not saying its acceptable but i'm muddling through still. Just takes so much longer to get anywhere.

Hoping like "CheezyWaffle" that it corrects it's self or it's patched soon.

I really hope this one gets resolved, it makes me not want to play having to run across the map each time I need to get somewhere. It'd be like if you had to walk everywhere in GTA 5. Still possible, not as fun.

HELP cure Lost Patrol Disease "LPD"!

LPD is serious condition affecting potentially everyone's Fallout 4 experience and deserves the research and dedication to find a cure for the affected.

MAJOR UPDATE:

Following a post on reddit people with LPD found by activating the terminal in Listening Post Bravo a master locked terminal they could then fast travel again. Listening Post Bravo is directly north of the NAtiona Guard Training Yard and shortly north-east of the Med-Tek Research.

Success! I can now fast travel again after 11 hours with LPD!

I have the perk to hack the master terminals however i did not hack it i just activated it and closed it. I walked outside and zoom fast travel again.

Its a wonder that help can be found in other places not on the forum that directly relates to this product.

Please try it your self some have said it sometimes does not work we should check it and see.

LPD has been isolated and a cure has been dispensed to the victims. While not all respond to the treatment a very high percentage do. This pathogen will be extinct soon.
