Fast travel is unavailable from your current location

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 10:00 pm

My current location happens to be everywhere.
Yes, I dropped all loot.
Yes, I dismissed any companions.
Yes, I entered/exited a building.
Yesss, I killed literally anything that could be targeted to me.

Will it be fixed in the upcoming patch? I really don't want to redo a good 8+ hours from the last save file that isn't affected by this.

To be fair fast travel shouldn't be used to get the full immersive experience. You should travel on foot the whole time, you never know what adventures you'll find.

Too late.

Anyhow it's odd but some locations are aparently not outdoors for some strange reason usually just moving a bit gets you away. There's also a few places in Boston that has hidden Enemy's that you can't detect unless you trip them and boom swam of whatever pops out of the ground.

Let people play how they want. Plus FT is required during certain parts of the story so just try avoiding it then. This is coming from a guy that rarely, if ever, uses FT.

I have found that if I want to effectively use power armor, I NEED To fast travel to the location, else, by the time I walk/run there, I have no power left.

Also, I discovered that on some roofs, you can't fast travel from them, gotta be a ground level.

I did play Skyrim like that only using carriages to fast travel, I found it very immersive and I leveled a lot more from questing

I like to use fast travel in between multiple quests or just side tracking. If you didn't have that feature you would be pissed too. Nothing seems to fix it.

In FO3, there was a quest that ended in a possible escort mission. Fast Travel was not allowed at that location, but if you travelled a short distance, it was possible to FT.

Do you have the option to resolve a quest with Fast Travel in your current location, OP?

My bad, I wasn't specific on my last post..

Fort Listening Post Bravo was the cause of the bug. At the time I checked the terminal (master) even though I was only expert. THAT is the bug. Not having a high enough hacker perk and just inspecting the terminal will cause the glitch, however, the solution is really simple. All you have to do is go back and inspect it again, walk outside and it is fixed! It is the strangest thing I have heard but yes.. that was the cause of the fast travel bug. There is even a video online with under 5k views with the solution. We all did the exact same thing and got bugged. Pretty freaking crazy

Your MY hERO!!!!!!! Where just about to load up a seven hour old save to try and get out of this glitch when I found that solution! IT WORKED!!!!

Also you don't only get hit by this bug by inspecting the terminal. You just have to get a foot inside of the bunker. TO say kill the protectron droid just inside. Thats how it happened to me.
