Ok so I choose the "Cautiously" method because I thought I read in the tutorial that if I chose this method, I would arrive in the daytime. But I always seem to end up there at night time.


P.S...Is it illegal to be outside at nighttime in Daggerfall?

Cautiously gives you full health/fatigue/magicka, don't recall arriving at daytime.

Are you a Vampire?
Did you take the "Damage from Sunlight" special disadvantage?
Either of these will make the Cautious traveler always arrive at night. Otherwise, you should always arrive sometime during daylight (although sometimes you may arrive late in the evening)

No, it is not illegal to be outside at night.

No I'm not a vampire, and no I didn't take that disadvantage. Also whenever I am outside at night it seems guards always start running at me...So I naturally run away , I guess ill try and talk to them next time.

But the fast travel thing is tough, since I am a low level, I cannot easily kill the monsters that are outside of the city gates.

Guards rush you at night? Probably only if you tried to camp outdoors in the city. Within city limits they want you to find a tavern. You can loiter at night though. Sometimes you can arrive at late evening that looks like night, but people are still milling around.

Ahhh thats why then...I always have tried to camp. But I'll try loitering this time around.
