Tirdas, 1st of Morning Star 3E 389

I Nibfchewski [Niv-CHEW-ski] of the Summerset Isle awake to find that I am the Empire's only hope!? Raised by the poorest of families of the Merchant Class of Altmer, subsequently to get by I've become known as a thief. (A wannabe domestic terrorist against the blind arrogant culture that has leaked throughout Tamriel, because of every lazy human that flatters my kind for magic). Always fancied a way off this wretched island- so here I am with only a dream to explain why I find myself waking in a dungeon.

So it begins, perhaps written in some Elder Scroll, with a Ruby Key and a whole lot of darkness between my awakening and my purpose. Ruby eyes and darkness and the sounds of tiny-clawed feet advancing upon the dank dungeon floor. "Go West and then South.", said that chick in my dreams. Drawing my sword and heading West, instantly I hear a growl- this is what I always wanted right, to be away from home a real adventure... but was that growl from the North. I'm booking it West by now at full speed- DEADEND I backtrack then head South- RODENTS I wack at them with my sword and soon their lifeless bodies are bleeding before me; but I've been bitten and badly. I climb a ledge, too high for the rodents, to bandage my wounds but pass out instead for like 14 hours!!! And Ria Silmane is in my head again. Its all up to me... to gather the pieces... to recover the Staff of Chaos... Fang Lair?.. then suddenly I awaken on a ledge in a dungeon... and remember, this was always my dream.

To the South I reach another dead end and just as I'm thinking of swimming West two goblins appear to be waiting on me. I swim South instead beneath a wall where another goblin is waiting. One on one he is no match and I snatch a bag of gold from his emptying body, unscathed I walk away and growing in confidence. West? and then South?.. I continue South around a corner and where appears a deadend- the wall opens up before me. Ha, there is a goblin hiding but his stupid axe appears around the corner in plain sight. The last thing he learned was of this mistake as I end his life with a single blow. In the room he was guarding a cool belt that fits me securely.

Heading West now, I am bit by a rodent from behind. One swing and he's toast- BASTARD! If I'm going to continue South and West I must swim under that wall... yipee... here goes... Swimming West until I find a landing to the North and a bag of gold and another rodent. More rodent, RATS... everywhere. Now I have no choice but to head North... Starting to second guess this Silmane chick. Rats everywhere, no place to test... gotta get out of here quick. I sprint West. One more rodent and then the shift gate shimmers before me- YEA BOY!!! Free at last. But of course I'm back home now, Archen Grangrove of the Summerset Isle.

I arrive home in the midst of New Life day- symbolic. Gotta make it to the inn and enjoy some free ale- but first I need to be decked out in leather- gotta check out Practical Provisions gotta check out Basic Supplies gotta pick up a couple Heal potions at the Mages Guild. As the clock strikes five I'm entering into happy hour at the Dirty Warf. Get this, strangers to the Isle, Happy Hour, Happy New Life Day, Free Drinks... but no one in the mood for conversation. Home sweet home. I get off to bed early and save the days adventures to share with those in the adventurers forum... and wonder what I'll dream up next?.. and where is Fang Lair?
