Faster item transfer

Say you open a container and wish to put various items in the container, that you've gathered. Normally, I would be clicking each item and dragging the item over the screen into the container UI and drop it in; this takes a long time and is tedious. I originally played morrowind for the Xbox, which allowed you to click a single button and the item will instantly be moved to the container/inventory; which is far faster.

Is there a way to do this on pc? Why do I have to drag each item individually to a container or my inventory? It doesn't matter where I put it in my inventory since its self organizing.

I have searched the internet for a good hour and haven't been able to find a solution.

You can move entire stacks of items at a time. Hold down the Shift key when you click on the stack and you will grab all of them. (at least I think it's Shift, it might be Ctrl)
Note: The Code Patch has this set as the default if you use the shortcut key improvement option, but doing a Shift grab will then allow you to select one item from the stack if you want.

If you mean to grab a whole bunch of different items at once... No, that can't be done. You have to drag & drop one type of item at a time.

I knew that you could take entire stacks at a time. I was just hoping that you didn't have to drag it over the screen, to the container or your inventory.

I find it surprising that this hasn't been done in a mod. I would assume that if the Xbox version of the game could, then the game engine should have the possibility. Anyone know what abolishes the possibility?
