Father noooo!

I was very sad when I just couldn't use Fawkes at the end of the vanilla game...I mean everyone would win...I don't want to die or get a karma hit.

I never understood that myself. Why is it bad Karma if Sentinel Lyons goes in instead of you? Seems like it would be more neutral Karma than anything.

I love my father IRL so yes, this story had an impact on me. Anything related to father/son relationships make it hard to hold tears back. For those that have lost a parent would understand.

Because expecting Sarah Lyons to do her duty is evil I guess.

I mean clearly she shouldn't go in. She's super awesome and clearly way too valuable to die. Let the lowly grunts she commands do it. That's what they're there for.

Apparently.

"So much for chivalry I guess."

The [censored] Sarah, your faction is going to take over the [censored] project, and its your [censored] mission. Yet you want me to throw myself under the bus for you like you're more important than me?

^That should have been a dialogue choice there.

Yup. People joke about the Three Dog line but that particular piece of dialogue was probably my pick for utterly terrible writing.

The Lone Wanderer isn't taking the spoiled brat out on a date she's supposedly a soldier and the officer in command of the whole attack. It's her job to go in there not expect her subordinate/19 year old civilian volunteer who's already done more for her cause than anyone had the right to expect to go sacrifice themselves apparently because she's a woman. I mean I assume it wasn't Bethesda's intention to paint Sarah Lyons as an entitled [censored] and disgrace of an officer with no sense of responsibility. If it was kudos. Otherwise it was just awful.

No. I didn't.

I felt bad for Jonas, and just about everyone else who died in the vault either during "Escape!" or "Trouble on the Homefront".

This is, as opposed to Dad. He killed himself, two Enclave troopers, and put his entire project in jeopardy.

For what? So the Brotherhood could take it over and unfairly exclude the scientists?

Project Purity would've been 100% better off with Autumn in charge. Not to mention Autumn was willing to be reasonable, and the so-called innocent dad was not at all.

The scene altogether was poorly written.

Well now, if you put it that way... Damn James was indeed a selfish moron! :D

Oh and LT and Enclave, I just want you to know that I didn't kill Autumn at the end... I guess my character saw the fallacy of her father's actions LOL

He was a moron.

He gave me hell for blowing up Megaton.

More like getting rid of one of the two giant plot-holes in the story.
