I always wind up 'saving' my fatman and its munitions for a special occasion that never actually happens.

eh. It might actually be more realistic that way, mebbe for a hardcoe option.
I'd actually love to see some development done on much more sophisticated damage location and effects vs NPCs and vs. Player-Character ... at least as an option for hardcoe, and Heavy realism playthroughs.
Regular play, the more video gamey damage system is fine, but, for Realism and hardcoe, it'd be nice living in a world where, like real life, a crack head with a duct-taped rusty .22 pistol can kill a person with a single shot.
they should exist but they should act intelligently (if you have a mini-nuke there is no real reason to use it, they have to do what you say or die, even if you just want to hurt people it still wouldn't help since it just vaporizes them. they should try to capture you or rob you, giving you a chance to make the first move) and have some way of warning players about their presence (they would probably have a mini-nuke or two sitting around and you can bet other raiders would talk about it)
