Fautores

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2011 4:19 pm

I was thinking about an RP based around a small group of people in the Mojave from varying factions who come together to attempt to spread the message and gain support for Caesar. The RP will hopefully follow the Fautores', which means 'Supporters', attempt to gain the trust Caesar and ultimately try to save their factions from enslavement and death under Caesar's rule. The Fautores will basically replace the role of the Courier, although the storyline will not be the exact same. So, if this happens to gain interest from anybody the roles are:

Follower of the Apocalypse: Me
King
Boomer
A once Brotherhood of Steel Paladin
Great Khan

This only leaves four people, so anybody else who is interested can use an alternate faction (e.g a Fiend). The team will have to include the four factions named above with the maximum amount of people to be eight. I will not confirm anybody until about a week, and it would be great to have multiple submits per faction as then I can choose which character is best suited.

A long with the faction requirements I would also like the roles of somebody with medical experience, sniper/ranged experience and melee/unarmed combat experience to be filled.

I know there is already an exceptional RP about the Legion, so this may not lift off at all, but I thought I may as well give it a shot.

Rules

I am the leader of the Fautores. While I will often depend on the knowledge and skills of my team members, whenever an order is issued it is expected to be followed, unless this clashes with your character. Standard rules such as no ubering and no character control are obvious. No innocence are to be killed. I don't mind characters with anger management issies or what have you, but the killing of innocents is forbidden unless there is a clear reason. No significant actions without confirmation. Proper spelling and grammar. At least a five line paragraph per post.

Character Sheet

Name:
Marlo Springer

Faction: Follower of the Apocalypse

Physical Description: 5'11. African-American. Black hair, green eyes. Full beard, shortish neat hair. Very dark skin complexion. Medium build.

Apparel: Bounty Hunter Duster and a Cowboy Hat

Equipment: Hunting Rifle, stimpack, a couple of bottles of purified water, binoculars and a 9mm pistol.

Skills: None in particular, quite talented with his Hunting Rifle and is quite charismatic, but nothing that would benefit the team in a marginal way, other than his strong beliefs and resolve to form the Faotores.

Backstory/ personality:

Marlo is an intelligent and charismatic man. He firmly believes in the harshness of the world he lives in, a knock-on effect from his childhood, and that extreme measures must be taken to achieve progress. He is a compassionate and kind man, but when he feels it necessary he can and will do anything for his beliefs.

Marlo grew up in Arizona. His family was killed by a small raider group who lived among dogs in Dog City, originally Denver. The Raiders took Marlo in. Most of the Feral Dogs did not attack Marlo and the Raiders, but would attack anybody else. Marlo spent seven years with the Raiders, saluaging and attacking NCR prisoners who were sent to work in Dog City. One day at the age of seventeen he managed to salvage enough ammo and weapons to kill his Raider family and escape. From that point Marlo turned to the Bounty Hunting business. Eventually he found the Followers and began working with them as a guard, but became as much apart of their operation in Old Mormon Fort as anybody. Marlo received an education from the Followers, and grew quite close. He often argued that a lot of their practises were unnecessary and inefficient but never acted upon his feeling out of respect for his fellow Followers and because he thought he had a moral obligation to those in the Mojave, and acting wouldn't help. However, as Marlo began to learn more of Caesar he began understanding and agreeing with many of his ideals. He snuck out into the Wastes one night, not thinking he would be able to tell the Followers of his treachery, especially after Caesar. While Marlo doesn't agree with many points and actions of the Legion he believes they are necessary and a better alternative to the NCR. Marlo also hopes that working with, or rather for Caesar he can convince him to allow the continuation of the Followers' presence in Freeside, and along with the Legion the two can become an organization that can truly help.

Well, that's it. Please, anybody interested post. As I say, I will not choose until next week. Thanks in advance.
