I recently picked up a burrito from a local mexican restaurant; Gordito's, famous for baby sized burritos, and am looking to visit a good teriyaki joint soon. Love me some meat.
Where do you go? What do you look for?

Alamo Drafthouse movie theater/restaurant/bar
Amy's Ice Cream for Mexican Vanilla
Asia Cafe for Chinese food
a local restaurant called "The Cabin", just outside of town
Mostly local restaurants.
Fast food no thanks.
Maybe a chain if I'm in somewhere I don't know and want something predictable.
I'm rather a huge fan of Applebee's actually. As for fast food places, Arby's and Taco Bell. Locally owned? Crossroads for sure.
I haven't eaten at a restaurant since 2003. But when I did, I mainly went to fast food places.
Due to some wound-induced health issues, I have very rigid dietary requirements.
As such, I've cooked all my own meals for the last 25 or so years.
I eat at a place called Dave's Dinner, it has good food but they're always wanting help. Another place I love to eat at is KT's Smoke House they have good steaks but there's a similar in Dallas TX. called Dunstin's that sells a 20 ounce porterhouse .
When it comes to fast food or dine ins I like:
Whataburger
McDonald's.
Mazzio's: For some reason I enjoy their pizzas more then I do Pizza Huts.
KFC/Taco Bell.
Carlito's.
Popeye's.
I honestly dislike McDonald's. I consider that place to be a last resort type of thing simply because every time they get something good, they remove it weeks later. Also, no onion rings really hurt them a lot for me.
I pretty much treat MacDonald's the same way, I only eat their once every several months or so. I'll usually go to Whataburger for my burger fixes .
