Favored Class Type in Skyrim

Post » Tue Nov 30, 2010 5:10 am

I always try to play the sneaking mage type character but I always end up using the sword the most because it's just too hard not to, for me at least.
Hopefully they will implement a better system for stealthy thieves, and pure mage type characters in Skyrim.

Mages were miles above fighters in Oblivion.

Armorer: Being able to make my armor have 125 durability really helps during long fights.

Dont forget about the forging weapons and armor which will probably fit in with armorer

Have I ever told you that your avatar bothers me? Hurts my eyes with the sharp contrast from the man and the white background lol.

Same here, I had to use AdBlocker to block the picture.

Eh ? Forging weapons and armor ? Did I miss something ?

If there will be armor forging in Skyrim I will make the heaviest armor there is, don′t care if it′s so heavy and clunky that I can only walk and can′t sneak, just give me more armor, more defense!

Warrior Battlemage Hybrid

Basically my Breton will be good with a Blade specificly Shield and Sword or maybe DuelWield, use Destruction Magic, Restoration Magic and wear Light Armor.

This.

I'm a little split. I like Combat/Magic and Combat/Stealth. I think my first run will be an Orcish Spellsword though. Nothing more satisfying than setting things on fire :P.

Alchemy
Marksman
Blade-1 handed? short sword/dagger
Light Armor
Security
Acrobatics
Sneak

The last 2 fit into whatever I need. Watchman kind of class.

They are called Dragon shouts. They give you power by speaking the dragon language, which is a language of power that gives dragons their might.

Almost like Thu'ums maybe? At least it sound like there is a connection

Melee and stealth for me. The two when mixed effectively are just awesome.

You guys know there are no classes in Skyrim. Bethesda did away with the class system.

But I picked magic because Vedaa is a pure spell caster.

I want to try Magic + Stealth but I don't know if there will be any benefit to using Stealth while attacking with magic. I guess I'll see. If that doesn't work I'm tempted to go full magic but I just don't know if I could stick to that.

Think about the dragons?

Then give my character a spear, a shield, a bow, and a little magic. Stealth wouldn't be a focus; he or she would just have to know where the nearest cavern, tomb, or dense forest was (escape).

I guess that would be a spellsword of sorts (spellspear?).

I want a Monk with Unarmored/Hand2Hand/Throwing Weapons and some Restoration or Alteration spells.
Probably not going to happen, though :(.

Warrior / Thief - Heavy armor, axe, long sword who can pick locks and have crazy athletics. Served me well in Morrowind.

I mostly play hybrids. I like to play magic/stealth hybrids, I might try something new in Skyrim though...

I used to heavily rely on being a Mage in OB, due to the flawed levelling system which would make any other characters uber weak at higher levels. Hopefully now with the new, revised system I can broaden my horizons once again and be the sneaky Khajiit I was born to play

I pretty much always end up being essentially a nightblade, regardless of what class I was trying to play when I started, so probably that.
