Favorite and most played games -and- why?

Your favorite and most played games pretty much... And why you play them! Heck, maybe explain how you got into said games, yes? Would be very interesting...

~Elder Scrolls~

Spoiler
I love the Elder Scrolls for two main reasons... Giant game world to explore and freedom to do anything in it (within reasonable limits, so to say). Plus, I love fantasy, magic, and all that lovely stuff! Originally, I was playing GTA as the GTA series was the only series I knew with such a game world but however, a friend of mine (He was a boyfriend of my sister, now an ex) introduced me to Morrowind and even gave me the Xbox copy of the game (Later buying the PC copy) and since then, I hadn't played a GTA game on any of my systems and been a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls series... Slowly learning more about the series, getting into the lore, etc...

Skyrim is specifically my favorite in the series with Daggerfall second and Morrowind third. The Elder Scrolls series is also my favorite video game series of all time... No other RPG hadn't beat this series for me'h...

~Halo~

Spoiler
I honestly started playing the Halo series when I was at a young age... School was, I believe I was in 4th grade.

A friend of mine who lived in the same area I was living in at the time (And this friend is my closest friend I've ever had and even count him as a brother to me) showed me the very first Halo game on the Xbox at his place and I started playing it... Loved the game and even remember playing the campaign for the first time with him and remember that I helped him get unstuck. (He got stuck at the first flood level... Didn't knew where to go type of thing)... My first multiplayer experience was a "brother vs sister" thing when me and my friend went up against our sisters... (Though it ended up with a 3v1 with me on the 1 side XD).

And at the time, I only had a PS1 and PS2... (Being a playstation person at de' time)... However, when I did got my own Xbox (The original Xbox*), the first game with it was Halo 2 (Which was an accident but a good one for sures)... And been into the Halo series ever sense, except for Halo 4 and ODST. Wasn't a big fan of those two.

Halo Reach and Halo CE (On PC) are my favorite games in the series btw.

~Rock Band 3~

Spoiler
I was always interested in both Guitar Hero and Rock Band series but never really bothered... Did had plans of getting The Beatles Rock Band, being a HUGE fan of The Beatles but never succeeded of buying the game (Which was a good thing actually).

The main reason why I have said game now is cause of the Brony fanbase actually... Saw a few Rock Band 3 customs of songs by Brony musicians so did a little research into what these customs were and instantly decided to go ahead and get RB3...

First game I bought was from Amazon but it was a bad deal... It ended up being the MadCatz version of RB3 (The one that doesn't work with customs) so had to send it back. Got our money back too and an accident happened... You see, the guy also sent an Xbox code for 5 Red Hot Chilli Peppers songs to go with the game and totally forgot to send the code back to him (Though he never complained about the missing code)... Since couldn't do anything about it though, I ended up using the code... (Still feel bad that I did such a thing but what is done is done)...

I ended up getting the original RB3 disc from a GameStop (After selling off an old PS2 to said GameStop... It didn't work anymore and GameStop accepted it anyways so whatever!)... From there, I slowly got into the custom community of the game and been playing the game A LOT ever since, always getting new additions.

~Mortal Kombat~

Spoiler
Mortal Kombat has been a family thing really... Both my mother and father was into it when it was an arcade game and we have MK3 on the computer (Since before I was born and the disc still works! Can still play it if I have DOSBox running) and ye'h... It wasn't surprising that me and my sister ended up playing it too...

However, Mortal Kombat always been a game I don't, so to say, 'update' on. I don't get every game in the series or anything like that. Other than MK3, we have three other games in the series. One on PS2 (Which I cannot remember the name of), Armageddon, and the newest one (MK9)...

My favorite game out of them all is MK9 as it brings back a lot of classic stuff (Including 2D fighting style) yet mix it perfectly with newer stuff...

Mortal Kombat always been a 'party' game for us all, well minus me... Nobody can beat me (Especially if I'm Scorpion or Smoke)...

~Minecraft~

Spoiler
Minecraft I actually did played for a bit when it was a free beta long long ago and didn't got into it... However, a few years ago a new friend of mine was really into it and caught my interest once again into said game...

And this time, I really enjoy it and love the game quite a lot. Mostly cause of Creative mode and such...

I spent most of my time normally just messing around and building stuff as I am highly into that sort... Being a huge LEGO fan when I was younger...

I have both the PC and Xbox versions of the game!

~Other Worth Mentioning~

Spoiler
Some other games worth mentioning...

Spyro being a big one as the original Spyro game for the PS1 was the first video game I've ever played and I still love the heck out of that dragon today... (I played it when I was like 2 I think). I may not have every Spyro game but am a fan of most of them, especially the PS1 classics... I also did like the reboot Legend of Spyro series! (But strongly hate what they did to him in the Skylanders game)...

Another game I played a lot since I was young was the Tomb Raider series... This was a game my mother was into in the old days and that interest got carried over to me. I am a fan of every Tomb Raider game EXCEPT two so far... The first one was "Angel of Darkness" which is I believe the 6th one in the series and first one to be on the PS2... It was mainly just a failed attempt of change, really... But they fixed it in Legends and so on...

The other Tomb Raider game I HATE TO DEATH is the new one that came out last year. ("Tomb Raider 2013" is what people are calling it)... I HATE IT cause it is NOT a Tomb Raider game. Doesn't feel like a Tomb Raider game. Doesn't play like one. And I can go on... I don't know what they were thinking but they totally ruined the game series right there and I'm assuming they are continuing down that road, thusly I'm no longer getting Tomb Raider games anymore for sure...

-And some other games worth just mentioning...
Original Sims Complete Collection on PC.
Black & White.
Oddworld (Abe's Oddysee) (Spellcheck?)
Gex.
And Dynasty Warriors!

Fallout: New Vegas (I played it extensively, so I'm burned out on it for now.)

Red Dead Redemption (One of the most amazing video games of all time. The people who call it GTA: Horses are just simpletons.)

Grand Theft Auto V (I love the world and storyline. I especially love to just fly around taking in the scenery.)

Hitman Trilogy (Wonderfully dark, creative and well thought out games.)

Bioshock (http://static3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100419034927/bioshock/images/4/47/Why_Even_Ask_Poster.png :frog: )

Edit: Oh! And Harvest Moon: Back to Nature.

Honestly, I only played the first Bioshock and it was good... But nothing biggy... Though it was one of those games that I believe would be AWESOME as a movie.

I'm leery. I'd only support the movie idea if myself or another fan who would ensure the artistic intricacies of the world, art style and themes are not lost in transition. It'd shine amongst all these horrible super hero, action flicks and reboots.

I played Halo Combat Evolved on and off for about 5-6 years. We got it in 2001 when it came out and I played it because my dad played it, and I was 7 at the time. My sister and I player it in co-op for a while, then when my brother got older we both player co-op a lot (or Tony Hawk). My mom didn't let us get Halo 2, so we just played Combat Evolved when she wasn't paying attention. And she finally got me Halo 2 for my birthday in 2007, the same year Halo 3 came out.

We didn't get an Xbox 360 until 2009 which is when I got Halo 3, but I had played that extensively at friends house's. We got Reach when it came, and it was about the time Halo 4 was announced that I really got into the series, bought the last two games and Halo 4, and I am coming close to 50 different figures for the series.

Two others are Warcraft 3 and Runescape, I played those a lot. Hundreds if not over a thousand hours.
