Favorite armor...

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 2:54 pm

My personal favorite armor is the steel heavy armor(custom enchanted to make it usable on higher lvls). I have no idea why, but I like it.

My second fav is the ebony armor, I mean, black-ish and gold=cool without the evil look of daedric.

Third is the orcish armor: looks cool and have decent quality.

Daedric is only fourth on my list: Great quality, looks cool, but I usually play a goodie-two shoes. No evil looking armor for me.

I also really like leather armor, without the helmet and shield of course: really gives a ranger-type of feel if combined with some types of clothing, but since i mostly play heavy armored characters no leather for me when I'm no RP-ing.

What about you?

My character doesn't wear a lot of armor, but of the vanilla ones, she prefers the light Arena raiment. It's pretty and matches her eyes.

Ebony Cuirass
Ebony Gauntlets
Ebony Shield
Ebony Mace
Huntsman Leather Pants
Huntsman Moccasins

Thats my absolute favorite vanilla set. I'm also obsessed with the huntsman pants/moccasins combo with most of the cuirass/gloves ingame at the moment.
It's Methredhel's style btw, but it looks great on most male wood elves.

Helena wears no armour but her Leather Boots when out travelling, or her Fur Boots when out travelling north of Chorrol.

Amber, Ebony(, retextured red Glass) and the Dark Brotherhood armor.

I hardly ever mix 'n' match. I just don't like how miscellaneous it can look. :P But sometimes I'll mix around armors, if they compliment each other well.

My favourite is a full set of Ebony armour, except for the shield. I actually made a list of the enchantments I had for my armour and stuff back when I did this the first time (I felt so powerful I had to write it down). Here's what I had:

Ebony Boots - Feather 125pts
Ebony Cuirass - Resist Magicka 20pts
Hands of the Atronach - Resist Fire, Frost, and Shock 20pts
Ebony Greaves - Resist Magicka 20pts
Ebony Helmet - Resist Magicka 20pts

Mundane Ring - Reflect Spell 35%, Resist Magic 50%
Some Ring - Fortify Magicka 50pts
Some Amulet - Fortify Magicka 50pts

I loved that set to bits. I'm probably gonna do something like this again some time, if I ever reach a high enough level... I have a bad case of "restartitis" at the moment.

I have a special armor for my 3 characters...
For Sepht Vultori, as a knight, he prefeer the Ebony Armor or Imperial Dragon Armor.
For Veronica Vultori she prefeer something delicate and light, so she prefeer the Arena Light Raiment or for the hunting seasons she wears a Fur armor...
For my new character Sir Clyde (Veronica's Mentor) at the moment he's wearing the Blades Armor but in the future he shall wear the Madness Armor!

My favorite is Leather Armor. It's actually my favorite armor in both Morrowind and Oblivion.

My only two characters have ever only worn shrouded armor. I like the look of ebony as well, but neither of my characters wear any sort of heavy armor. I also don't like the look of any of the helmets (at least not on my characters), so I usually go without anything on my head, and if I do, it's usually a hood of some sort.

I always thought it would be cool if they added some sort of bone armour to the game. I think that would have the potential to be pretty badass.

Lothran was stunned to hear this as he was unaware of the existence of sparkling raiments

On topic. Purely for the down-to-earth-look, Lothran has leather greaves, boots and gauntlets. All enchanted with shield protection. On top of that he has Saviour′s Hide, for good looks and magic resistence, and a mithril helmet with some useful magic on it as well

Oh, Buffy's blushing now!

And you forgot to mention Lothran's set of Bruma guard armor. He looks quite dashing wearing it. :wavey:

He′s proud to be a member of the Bruma town guard and wears his uniform with his head held high :)
Spoiler
I think he hoped to impress Buffy a bit too but I′m not supposed to say this
Yes, I didn′t mention his guard armor or enchanted fur outfit he has when living in the Jeralls. I don′t know why but for some reason I only mentioned what he wears in the summer :turned:

...at the moment, I'm doing the dirty deeds quests for the Dark Brotherhood, so I have to say it's Graywyn's Raiment of the Crimson Scar I inherited from him... Otherwise, it's my Cuirass of the spy, Greaves of the Tree Runner, Swamp Boots, Infiltrater's Gauntlets, and an enchanted Mithril Helmet. ...Oh, and far as the hood to go with Graywyn's raiment...I'm still looking for a black one larger than the shrouded issue to enchant...(styled like the ones the battle mages wear).

...yeah! that reminds me of something I saw in a movie long ago...which now, thinking back, is probably one of the main reasons I was drawn to Oblivion in the first place...blast from the past!
