Favorite Armor type

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 3:42 pm

Basically what is your favorite armor type and why? You could also put your favorite specific armor as well.

I'll start, my favorite is light armor because I love the perks you can get, Light touch, travel light, and the one in lonesome road, I like that there light so that they don't take up as much space.

Power Armour, nothing like scaring the daylights out of filthy wastelanders whilst clad in T51b brandishing a Gatling Laser.

I guess I'd say medium armor, more protection that light but not as bulky as heavy armor or power armor. As far as my favorite I switch up so much that its not even funny, but if I had to pick I'd probably say riot armor.

This. Except my favorite is probably NCR ranger combat armor.

Medium. Most of my characters are stealth experts, and Medium has the recon armor.

Depending on character I will go medium or light.

Joshua Graham's armor or Desert Ranger armor and sometimes I have a character that just wears clothing like Daniel's outfit.

Medium armor. It offers plenty of protection without slowing or weighing you down much, and I prefer the looks of them on an aesthetic value as well. Elite Riot Gear is my favorite suit in the game, hands down.

Depends:

Walking around the Wasteland? Duster or other stylish clothing.

Expecting minor resistance? Need to mobile/agile in a fight? Light armor.

Expecting heavier Resistance? Combat armor or other Medium types.

Fight of a lifetime? Power armor.

Joshua Graham's armor. One of the strongest light armors in the game, and it goes very well with the compliance regulator. Though I wish I could wear the courier's duster over it.

Heavy Armour as in Power Armour back in the Original Fallouts. Back when it was worth having.

With the new Fallout's, it's medium.

Yeah ;)

How about Smitty Special, FEV "Curling" Grenades and Remnants PA; FEV grenades would be pretty darn badass, canonical or not.

I really think PA should make enemies flee significantly easier, freeside thugs should be running before they've even encountered me.

Smitty Special, Remnants Armour and Prototype FEV "Curling" Grenades ( instakill on all mutated matter ;) )

Generally prefer light - more style than function. I'd rather my character be a citizen than a soldier. A very violent citizen, but a citizen nonetheless. Josh Graham's outfit is pretty cool, I'm fond of that.

I really like power armor, it's very well designed, but I can never wear it myself. It's really useful, but too cumbersome and unlikely - I can't see someone wandering the casinos in it! Applies to most heavy armour, actually.

It really depends on my character, but for the most part, I roleplay soldiers. My soldiers prefer solid, heavy armor. Combat Armor at the very least is just part of that.

So I would say I most like PA, as that's the endpoint of the whole thing.

I play a "Rambo" Character. So the medium build of armor is great for taking damage and is not too cumbersome. My favorite is veteran ranger armor.

Joe only uses light armour or clothing

My 'normal' characters normally use medium and 'flirt' with heavy.
My 'main' character likes the ranger armour.

For effect: Graham's Armor
For show: Assassin's Suit
Because it's awesome: Stealth Suit Mk II

What doesn't exist that should: a light armor variant of the Veteran Ranger Armor (especially as non faction armor)
