I find it hard to name favourites... According to last.fm, the past few months I've been listening mostly to Agalloch, Rome, Wolves in the Throne Room, Lifelover and Amesoeurs.

Add to that Of The Wand & The Moon, Fen and Forseti, and I guess we've got something.

Ok, I listen to stuff from a wide range of genres, but I'll try:

Led Zeppelin

Foo Fighters

Them Crooked Vultures

Bruce Springsteen

Tom Petty

The Rainmakers

Turbonegro

RUSH (earlier stuff)

Rythm Desperados

Damien Rice

Satyricon

Eva Cassidy

Johnny Cash

There's plenty more I love, but I think this is representative for the rest of my collection.

My current all-time favourite band (I don't think I'll ever have an all-time all-time favourite band, my tastes change too much :P) is the Manic Street Preachers. Other than that, my favourites recently have been Electric Wizard, Enslaved, [censored] Up, Sonic Boom Six, the Dillinger Escape Plan, Rolo Tomassi, Nick Drake, Sunn O))), Mayhem, Cathedral, Trash Talk, the Skints and Frédéric Chopin.

Some others that have always been favourites but which I haven't listened to as much of recently (I'll probably go back to them eventually) include Primus, Overkill, Slayer, Black Sabbath, Jesu, NOFX, Napalm Death, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, At the Gates, Manowar, Emperor, Bad Religion, Radiohead, Capdown, Big D and the Kids Table and PJ Harvey...

That's not exhaustive, and my http://www.last.fm/user/MutantPenguin page also gives a good indication of what I like.

I like Daughtry alot. Not just the singer from American Idol but the band. Even though he is the lead singer, it is a Band and not a solo act. I really love his 2nd album.

I also love Savagatge and Trans Siberian Orchestra. I listen to mostly older stuff, like Old Guns and Roses, Areosmith, Poison, Bon Jovi, Motely Crue, but none of their
newer stuff.

My favourites are Opeth, Electric Wizard, Death, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Massive Attack, Portishead, The Verve/Richard Ashcroft and Ocean Colour Scene.

I've only seen one of them, Meshuggah, and even that was over 3.5 years ago. I somehow always manage to miss them every time they come here, can't figure out why. :P

Have loads of favourite bands and it really depends on what I've been listening the past few weeks...but overall (not in a particular order):

Biffy Clyro (their last album is awesome and also love a couple other songs from previous);
Muse (all albums are great and the 1st one is AMAZING);
Green Day (lately they have been getting a bit more mainstream but still great band);
Linkin Park (awesome, I even like their latest albums unlike some purists...);
Coldplay (all in all awesome);
You Me at Six (only know a handull of songs and only started listenign to them the past month but I really like the songs I've heard);
Led Zep (...Stairway to Heaven alone makes me love them...);
My Chemical Romance (haven't heard a song I don't like);
Foo Fighters (great);
Nirvana (no need for words);
Guns n Roses (classic...);
Queen (have been hearing them since I was born and deserve a spot in My Top 5 Bands Ever);

...just to name a few but really I'll listen to anything basically except very hard metal (anything harder than Mettallica basically) and bad pop
