That's actually backwards, Bad Religion was one of Rise Against 's influences.

Ah, that's what I meant. I just worded it wrong. :P

That's what I'm talking about. Another big band/swing addict. I thought I was the only one :D

BTW if you really like swing read the book Frank: The Voice by James Kaplan. Not just tons of info on Sinatra but tons of info on jazz standards and music of the time.

Cocteau Twins - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtBr5JKSuks

Wonderful choice, I had a Cocteau Twins mega-obsession some years back.

Naked Raygun (youtube doesn't have the song I wanted to post)

Ramones (the whole Ramones album)

six Pistols (Anarchy in the UK and EMI)

Stiff Little Fingers (the entire Inflammable Material album)

Along with all the Black Sabbath songs that had Ozzy Osbourne still singing

Led Zeppelin (a bunch of songs)

Deep Purple (Highway Star)

Social Distortion (Mommy's Little Monster album)

These are all my current favorites. As you can see I've really been getting into punk, metal just isn't really appealing anymore.

I already know about all of those. Just don't like them as much as the ones I listed, I didn't want the list to be too long.

I don't really like post-punk and the only post-hardcoe band I like is Fugazi.

the last four bands you mentioned are freaking awesome. I don't know why I didn't put Dethklok, and tool in my list. Tool was actually the first real concert I ever went to. Except a concert by RED. It was in this 3 day music festival thing called joshua fest. RED kicked major butt... Best concert ever. Tool was of course great in concert.
