Well? Take your Time and Answer :) Here are mine: Trees/Water/Sun (Cyodrill), Yes, and It was okay just not compared to Cyodrills'.

If I left out a climate or two let me know and I'll post your name for credit. Be sure to tell us what you picked because I love hearing from people!

- raithen pointed out that the Morrowind Climate includes Lava, Rivers, and Swamps. Thanks.

I love the description you gave morrowind. It doesn't JUST have grey and mountains everywhere. There's, uh, lava rivers and stuff too. Oh and swamps.

After a while, always a different one than the current one.

I really hate it when there is always the same type of environment in a game.

Diversion rulez !

I prefer swamp-like enviroments. I like some parts of Morrowind (ie around Seyda Neen for instance) and I would love to see Black Marsh one day. If I had to choose a second one too, then I think I would go with the Solstheim enviroment.

Desert/Colovian (remember desert =/= Sahara)

No, I didn't like Oblivion's climate - or rather, lack of a climate. If it is supposed to be heavily forested... well, it didn't pull off being a forest very well. I live in a forest, I know what a forest should look like, and Cyrodiil did not have enough of the things that make a forest a forest.

I really enjoyed Morrowind's landscape.

In general, I want to explore something I don't normally get to explore. For me, that's deserts/arid climates, harsh volcanic terrain, lush rain forest and jungle, jagged mountains, flat plains (savanna) and scrub land.

I personally like variety in climates. If TESV has a huge landmass I would prefer that it has vastly different climates per region.

Oblivion's "forest" was more like a park. I prefer the lush open coast with a beautiful view of the sea as the port communities and economy have always intriuged me, and then there's that sunset...

A climate isn't homogeneous; there's a lot of variety of appearance within even one category of climate. I'd be more satisfied with a single "climate" where all the nuances and variety was paid attention to and given life in rich detail.

I liked certain parts of Cyrodiil, and it varies. I like varied environments, but I really enjoy forests and the coast.

This is a rather shaky poll to vote upon. What's important for me isn't the actual environment, but the amount of variety and intricate, hand-placed details that exist within it. I didn't dislike Oblivion for having a "boring" Earth environment. Morrowind players may want to make a note that pretty much every other province is fairly Earthlike, so they're dead wrong in hoping that TES V will return to things like giant insects and mushroom towers.

Skyrim in particular has the advantage of probably being the Earthlike province with the most potential for variety. Large glaciers, tunnels hollowed out beneath frozen lakes, cities built into mountainsides, hot springs, lushly vegetated chasms and valleys, winding cliff peaks, et cetera. But only if Bethesda wants it to. If they just generate their world from heightmap again and start slapping random dungeons in, then we have a problem.

it was hard to choose between rainy/wet or ice/snow because I liek both of those. I just dont want the generic grass/trees from Oblivion.

I live in a lush, water rich, mild climate.
So escapism for me is the scorched, mountainous, lava riddled fvckyas and hills of Morrowind.
Oblivion is beautiful, absolutely gorgeous, but then again, so is my backyard.
I want something exotic, opposite, dangerous.

I love it when it rains in Oblivion. I love rain in RL too. TESV needs DX10 Wet Surfaces.

I voted:

Favorite Climate, Snow/Ice (Skyrim): I LOVE this type of climate and the nordic feel, though personally I don't play as a Nord. :P

Oblivion's Climate, Well yea...: It was ok, but vanilla Oblivion climate just felt... plain.

Morrowind's Climate
, Yes: Morrowind's climate was awesome, it fit so well with the game and made it unique, plus there was Solstheim. <3 ^_^

My favourite is Tropical. I don't know why, but I feel some kind of mystic aura in games with tropical environments. Might also be my eyes wanting to see something else than that damn computer screen lol :)

"...the land of the ice and snow, the midnight sun where the hot springs blow..."

I like the volcanic wastes of Molag Amur and the shady swamps of the Bitter Coast, full of hidden secrets. I never actually found the sunken shrine to Boethia on my own..
