Favorite Daedric Gods

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 1:49 pm

My favorite would have to be Hircine, just for his kick-ass look and ways. Werewolves were also pretty much my favorite creature in the series.

My second would have to be Molag Bal, mainly because Coldharbour sounds like a cool place, and the Daedroth is my favorite Daedra spawn.

I'd have to say Boethiah. I like what he stands for and represents, I also like his realm of Oblivion.

I agree on hircine, he was cool in bloodmoon and I was very excited when he appeared in the infernal city.

I said Nocturnal, because He is just awesome.

Oh, and Meridia isn't a Daedra per say, but rather a 'new' Et'Ada created with mundas (Mortal Energies didn't exist before.) If it was just favorite god, I'd definatley go with her though. She's considered a Daedra after being cast from Aetherius for 'consorting with elicit spectre."

Isn't Nocturnal a female? Noting her nickname "The Night Mistress"

I like Namira, the whole "dark side of nature" makes her like Kynareth's polar opposite. She's associated with spiders, slugs, and insects, and her role in the story "Beggar Prince" was cool. Plus her ring is my favorite Daedric Artifact, I like that it causes damage done to your character to go to the attacker.

The isles are lovely this time of the year, perfect for a visit, or an eternity. Sheo is my favorite, i mean come on he represents madness, but without a little madness there is no art or genius.

I also like hiricine, god of the hunt and all that

In general, I worship the nine. If I'm to choose a favorite daedric god, however, I would probably have to go with Sanguine. Tough choice, though.

Haven't we gone through this numerous times already? As Jyggalag said: "This ends as it always does..." ...Sheogorath and Hircine are the only real combatants. The other ones get an occassional vote now and then, but Sheo and Hircine are the most likeable ones, since they both had expansions that heavily concentrated on them, therefore making them more interesting.

At least that's how it usually ends. Maybe this time Sheogorath has some mad scheme to make himself and Hircine lose? Who knows...

I think I'll vote for Mephala, but I also enjoy Nocturnal and Sheogorath. I'd love to have all three over for dinner!

Wow, I'm shocked Peryite is winning. He basicly has no lore whatsoever attached to him. :?

pestilence for me. Others, maybe because he looks like a dragon. Don't worry your little head, people will vote for Sheo, Azura, and Hiricine soon enough

Wow, I'm not the only one to vote Malacath. Cool.

Voted for the patron of the sworn oath because I tend to personally identify most strongly with the Orsimer, and because I think he looks cool. Not very deep, eh?

I have always been a fan of Azura. She/he/it sounds like a reasonable person and enjoyable to consort with. This passage from http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Doors_of_Oblivion is one large reason why Azura is my favorite Daedric Price:
Zenas was right, and astonishingly, he even had audience with the Queen of Dusk and Dawn in her rose palace. She listened to his tale with a smile, and told him of the coming of the Nevevarine [sic]. My master found Moonshadow so lovely, he wished to stay there, half-blind, forever, but he knew he must move on and complete his journey of discovery.

And also not to mention winged twilights are sixy. :liplick:

I always think Azura is really pure evil, just hidden behind all that...goodness... I don't know, I just don't trust her.

I don't like Azura. Petty, attention mongering, and two faced. She's like a spoiled child.

"You would know, for example, what is in this wooden box," said Nchylbar.

Azura turned to Athynic, her brow furrowed. The priest was quick to explain, "Goddess, this Dwemer is a very wise and respected man. Believe me, please, the intention is not to mock your greatness, but to demonstrate it to this scientist and to the rest of his skeptical race. I have tried to explain your power to him, but his philosophy is such that he must see it demonstrated."

"If I am to demonstrate my might in a way to bring the Dwemer race to understanding, it might have been a more impressive feat you would have me do," growled Azura, and turned to look Nchylbar in the eyes. "There is a red-petalled flower in the box."

Nchylbar did not smile or frown. He simply opened the box and revealed to all that it was empty.

When the students turned to look to Azura, she was gone. Only Athynic had seen the Goddess's expression before she vanished, and he could not speak, he was trembling so. A curse had fallen, he knew that truly, but even crueler was the knowledge of divine power that had been demonstrated. Nchylbar also looked pale, uncertain on his feet, but his face shone with not fear, but bliss. The smile of a Dwemer finding evidence for a truth only suspected.

-Uses her followers to win bets with other daedra
-Curses a race based on the actions of 3.

So long as you svck up to her, she'll remain kindly and calm. But she has some serious temper tantrums sometimes.

Based on what their spheres represent, Meridia is the most interesting to me(Though I'd like to see a little more info on her). Peryite interests me as only because no one knows what his sphere really is. Ordering and Taskmaster seem consistent, but another seems to believe his sphere appears to be pestilence. He's fashioned himself to look similar to Akatosh. Surprisingly he does seem to care for the wellbeing of his followers. Hircine is interesting to me as well. He wants to hunt worthy opponents, but is completely honest to his target about it and attempts to be fair about it.
