I don't think that planning on killing everyone and planning on only killing Ghouls is something that can be chalked up to a minor difference in the grand scheme of things...

That might be true. All in all, I don't think that it's eventually wise to kill everyone except a few thousand humans on earth. Richardson talks about America being world policeman once again... But why, when there is no one to control?
And of course, the FEV turned out to be a dud in Fallout 3. I think it's time to toss away the most extreme prejudices and use the Wastelanders as cheap labor to rebuild the United States. Anything that stands in the way will be removed, human or not. Even if I show some sympathy for the Wastelanders - although for entirely practical reasons - I won't show any to dissidents. But as I've said a million times, the Wastelanders are born on US soil and that makes them Americans. The Enclave is not just "The Enclave". It's the US government as it existed before the War and it's rightful duty is to protect those people.

With Eden I share the thought that the United States never ceased to exist as a single entity. It just has fallen into anarchy, but it's still there.

Maybe I could also call myself Restorationist?

He largely refers to America being the ones to save the human race. If you recall Richardson is more pro-humanity than pro-America. America sweeps the mainland clean of the "radioactive freaks" and re-establishes the human race.

Well as I said I could care less what happens in Falout 3. But I would have loved Richardson to win in Fallout 2. I just doubt that Autumn can handle running his new society.

Not necessarily. Enclave troopers identify the trespassers around Navarro as illegal aliens.

This is my take on the different "idealogies":

Tradionalist/Richardsonian: More or less the same idealogically as Edenism. The major difference being that there is a belief that the "old" Enclave of Richardson is the only one with any kind of competence.

Edenist: Again, idealogically the same as Tradionalism, since Eden largely drew his ideas and plan directly from Richardson. Major difference is that Edenists feel that Eden isn't incompetent and that he is the one who can still save the Enclave with his FEV plan in Fallout 3. Techically Autumnism should be the main opposition, but thats not entirely the case, since Autumn shows some hard-liner loyalty to Eden.

Autumnism- Ideagically more radical and "new" (comparatively speaking in terms of the Enclave) than Traditionalist/Edenist. The Belief that Colonel Autumn would be the one to save the Enclave in Fallout 3 by use of his purifier plan. A more sympathetic view towards wastelanders as well. Like Autumn himself, I believe there are mixed feelings towards Eden, with recognition of him being the legitimate President, but being opposed to his "extreme" measures.

Boy we could write a freaking book on this stuff. /tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I've been campaigning for two years.. Back in the better days I had very much enthusiasm to fight for what I believe in, what the Enclave believes in. Boy, those massive walls of text when I explained folks that the Enclave is more just than psychopaths in black armor. Now I'm starting the get the full of it and letting you new ones (figuratively speaking) do the job. While it is true that I nowadays enforce Autumn's ideals, back when I had to do this stuff alone I represented mostly Edenist Enclave.

I like your way of listing the ideologies. A very objective take on it. IMO It should become official within the Fanclub. For that you have my blessing and approval.

Well your pretty much speaking to it /tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />. There's Andaius too though he isn't on very often - I believe he's a traditionalist. Aside from that we three are the Enclave bigs on here I dare-say. We could all probably talk about it till the cows came home.

We do our own thing I guess:

You've brought the Enclave to the community through your mods.

Andaius used to hang more around Fallout General discussion, while I mainly operate in Fallout 3 forums.
Ah yes, my mods, yes, but I consider the Fanclub my greatest achievement. While you rarely see its remains these days, there used to be dozens of folks with "Enclave Approves" signatures which were the club's symbol. Created by a member whose name I don't recall. And as I said, I have dropped the campaign a long time ago. Nowadays I just wander around the forums and drop my ideas and move on /tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

Yeah. We're pretty much it. /biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' /> There's a few more Enclave supporters on here, but we don't see them that often. There was that Lonewander guy who came on a few weeks ago too, he was Edenist, I think he's flown the coop though.

Oh now don't be modest. You contributed at least 50% to that. /tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I've seen a fair few people with it. Mostly people with whom I most certainly did not agree with mind but it did remain. I might use it, I've had that Richardson fan-[censored] in my sig for a little too long.

You found that documentary clip, that started it all off friend.

Here is the clip we are talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCme_K6MYLY#t=1h16m57s. Watch it until about 1:21:00 or so (it starts at 1:16:57)

This is essentially how we believe the Enclave came into existance and why they are fully legitimate. They are the result of a government COG plan. There is in-game and source information to support this theory as well. It effectively, cannot be disproven (thus far).

"yeah, yeah. Keep running your mouth [censored], keep that up and I'll be your worst nightmare." -Typical raider conversation.

And they pratice interior decorating.

It's a toss up between Reilly's Rangers and the Brotherhood Outcast. Both are pretty cool, have some nice weapons, good armor and I bet are always up for a good time. /intergalactic.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':intergalactic:' />

The Pitt. They have the potential to eventually build a powerful nation. Something I haven't seen from any other group in the east. They are also the only faction that is actually doing something other than sit around. Well... Other than the BoS and Enclave, but I don't like Lyons and his goody two shoes BoS. They're boring. I liked the Enclave as an antagonist in Fallout 2, but I wish they'd just have stayed dead and been left out of 3. Not that it matters. They're all dead by now as far as I'm concerned, as I don't see their ending being canon. It's not good storytelling.

I find it difficult to really sympathise with any of the main factions, bar the Enclave. I don't accept the stance that the Enclave itself is factious, though Autumn's insubordination is disturbing. Publically countermanding a presidential order appears, IMO, to be unwise given the state of emergency. I wouldn't consider myself an Eden apologist, but until the Enclave can cement its authority over the mainland (however that is achieved), I'd rather just let Eden rule. His methods are questionable (gunning down his own men is pretty much unacceptable) but it appears he's unitarily held executive power for the last 30 years; a shake-up of the High Command - if there truly is such a thing - wouldn't achieve anything at this point, and would only confuse matters more.

In honesty, I respect Autumn's goals. I am not, however, sure how comitted he is to them. Would he seriously consider blowing up Raven Rock and risk killing all its inhabitants (effectively signing the Enclave's death warrant)? I don't think so.

Neither Eden nor Autumn are desirable leaders, but for the time being, I believe maintaining the status quo is conducive to the restoration of the United States.

Really, the Enclave is very poorly written in Fallout 3, it's confusing trying to figure out where I stand. Granted, I haven't played in a while, so I will have forgotten certain things which might shed more light on the matter.
