I thought they are were rather short and underwhelming compared to Oblivions. But my favorite was the Companions.

They're all very underwhelming... but i'll go with the Dark Brotherhood, because I liked Cicero.

I agree all of them did seem much shorter.

Because they were. The Fighter's Guild in Oblivion had 19 quests, The Companions had around 6.

The thieves are the first people I go to in any RPG, trust me G'vnur, they may rob you blind, but they're always good honest folk at heart and they know some interesting stuff.

Mages can go to hell (unless I send 'em there first).

There's something weird about the companions, but I rather fancy that huntress and am tempted to get involved with them just to see if I can get her as a follower.
They're not a guild... they're a group of weirdos hiding something.

I stole a contract from the Dark Brotherhood to save the life of the intended victim.
I suspect one day I'll do it... but not today.

In all honesty... the only one I really want to join is the Vigil.
I know they're not a guild but w/e

Witch hunters, demon hunters?!
Who wouldn't want to join?

When I met them on the road I was so excited when they showed me their HQ on the map.
Boy was I dissapointed. >.>

WInterhold College. Hurray, mages. I have no idea why, I guess I just like them. You can play trough it easily even if you're not completely magic-oriented tough.

If I have to pick one, probably Thieve's Guild.

But with that said, it was nowhere as good as Oblivion's Thieve's Guild.
Besides the initiation quest, the whole thing felt like a confused chunk of the mainquest.
Far too much combat, and not enough stealth or.. well thieving.
And all that business with Karliah and Nocturnal felt silly and forced.

The guild is supposed to be a group of thieves indirectly fighting the law and making a fortune, not magical servants of some crazy [censored] who wants you to kill a bunch of robots and steal one of Buddha's eyes.
