Favorite Gun?

Post » Mon Aug 04, 2014 11:53 pm

Random question... What is your all-time favorite gun? It can be any gun from any game or from the real world!

As for myself... Magnums. .44 Magnums and such. (Like the ones in Fallout 3?).

I prefer medieval weapons and magic honestly (magic being not real)... But I still like some guns.

I myself prefer bows and swords.

But, if we are strictly talking guns, the Barrett M82 .50 cal sniper can't be beat.

.45 Colt and similar. I will own one eventually. I also like the way a Beretta feels in my hand.

A flintlock rifle. I inherited one that is dated 1832 and it is really beautiful. Very heavy, though.

Hmm, I'm not sure. For some reason I was going to say "Desert Eagle" but then I remember that "Nope!" It's too big, plus you need to wear ear protectors and the recoil is pretty big. The darn gun looks like it comes right out of a cartoon. Rather powerful though.

My vote will have to go for the HK USP Expert 9mm, fit my hand well, nice accuracy too.

Note: I don't own any guns, but I have either been to shooting ranges and know some folks with these guns.

I am much more of magic type of guy.

Yea, they are very beautiful, we had one several years ago, until my drunken dad thought it was our neighbor at the door, it was a cop. There went that gun.

The Remington 870 Express Magnum is the first and last firearm I will ever need.

Godwyn Pattern Bolter Gun.

Awww yeah. Tearing flesh and limb from body.

Simply put it penetrates the targets armour, or thickened flesh or hide then it explodes inside of them. It is extremely accurate and is gyrostabilized. The size of a 20 mm cannon. It also fires pretty fast.

Best one I ever had was a 30/30 Winchester. By the Nine, I loved that gun.

Russian made SKS, because it shoots very accurately for a 7.62x39 and is not prohibitively expensive to fire.

For a general plinker and occasional free range squirrel snack, I prefer a Sears and Roebuck .22 Semi-auto.

7mm Remington Magnum, even if it kicks like a Mule and is expensive to shoot.

In a Game, BFG9000.

I love running through New Vegas with a Minigun, Vengeance in Fallout 3.

I like Lever Action Rifles like the Winchester Model 94, but I prefer a Marlin in 30/30 to a Winchester.

IMO a 44 Magnum is a Meat waster, and somewhat overrated.

I like Shotguns in Games and in RL for Home Defence and Fowl.

Y'all dream small.

Rail cannon.

"See that guy over there? Screw him and everything around him, through him, and beyond him." Basically the words of everyone firing a rail cannon.

I (well, me and some friends in college) actually built a small one. It was around 10 feet long and used a disgusting amount of copper wire. Helped that we were all in engineering classes :P

This was just last year...I wonder if it's still in the schools workshop. We never did 100% finish it.

Every type of revolver, the M1911, and all M16 and M4 variants in reality.

In Star Wars, I honesly like all the blasters BUT, my favorites are: Jango's twin http://www.star-wars.pl/grafika/2003/wrz/mr-jango.jpg silver blaster pistols, Han Solo's http://cdn3.vox-cdn.com/entry_photo_images/7330735/42221-dymszo_large_verge_medium_landscape.jpg heavy blaster pistol, the Stormtroopers' standard issue http://blindsquirrelprops.com/wp-content/uploads/2005/03/E11_old_02.jpg, the clone troppers' http://i805.photobucket.com/albums/yy338/IGF_Fordo/DC-15A.jpg/ http://www.therpf.com/attachments/f9/dc-15-s-carbine-blaster-my-first-img_2823.jpg-113184d1347634359, and Boba Fett's http://costumealliance.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/IMGP7581.jpg.

Fallout 3: Ol' Painless

Mass Effect trilogy: the kick ass http://webr.ly/userfiles/33406/thumbs/IMG_1363220669W327867_x300.jpg?t=1404864000004 and http://www.projecttriforce.com/images/products/secondary/me_carnifex-6.png

Halo: The SRS99 in Reach (just for looks mostly, I like the sniper in every game) and every Magnum, no matter how crappy it was in that certain game. It's practically the only gun I used whenever I played. Still get hate mail sometimes actually from how well I did with it.

I have a hard time picking just one gun. What can I say, I love guns.

I've always liked the http://christinehedley.com/images/bits/bren.2013.10.crop2.jpg because it looks badass. Bit of a pain to lug about, though.

I don't mean to be picky but revolvers come in a /lot/ of shapes and sizes. The Fallout 3 .44 Magnum Revolver is basically a S&W Model 29, but you can't forget the old goodies like the Colt Dragoon, the S&W Schofield, or the ever famous Colt Peacemaker. Newer ones like the Ruger GP100, MP412, Taurus Raging Bull, and exotic ones like the S&W Governor, Mateba Unica 6 and the Nagant M1895... just saying there's a whole world out there :P

Personally I prefer the Barrett M95. I've always been a stickler for bullpups, and for me nothing beats the feel of manually cycling a bolt-action. the Hecate II (the .50 in New Vegas) is quite the pretty beast as well, and you can't discount the Steyr HS .50 either.

Actually, despite what video games depict, basically any gun that uses a round larger than a .22LR needs ear protection (and even then I'd still recommend it). It's a heavy gun, yes, but because of that, as well, it actually has less felt recoil than comparable guns in .357 or .44 Magnum. Expensive as hell to buy and shoot, though.

My favorite guns are probably the H&K G3 series, the AS VAL, and the Steyr AUG A2. Favorite manufacturer is FN Herstal. Hard to pick, though, to be honest, guns are one of my things and I like a lot of them.

.303 Lee Enfield rifle was the first i ever fired and always liked it. L1A1 SLR, would have been nicer without the wood make it slightly lighter, but it did its job well.

No kidding, first time i picked one up i thought someone had chained it down, i feel for all those guys who lugged one around during WW2, makes those people who carried the M60 around and complained sound like a bunch of whiners

Well, in reality i've only fired an http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rk_62 in the army, with poor results

In games my favorites include the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AN-94 and the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragunov_sniper_rifle, much thanks to STALKER  And russians make their weapons a lot prettier than americans or europeans :hehe:

As for fictional guns, there's no beating the http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/File:C-10RifleMkVI_SC2_Story1.jpg :ninja:
