Seems that the Fallout series brought us a wide range of super-mutants.
What do you think of them ?
Personnally i much prefer super-mutants that don't attack on sight, that you can interact with.
IMO, most SM were men & women that didn't choose to join the Master. They were dipped unwillingly.
So, after the Master downfall, i find logical to see many of them having nostalgia of him, but also others that just want to have a normal life.
A normal life that is hard to have, considering many others chose to be still at war. As it is impossible for them to hide the fact they are super-mutants, they are still unwillingly bigotted because of their brethen behavior. Almost everything that happen to them is forced on them and it is very interesting to see how they cope with it. On that perspective the Super-mutants i love the most are the smart sane super-mutants, like Marcus or The Lieutenants.
On the other hand, the schyzophrenian super-mutants are a very welcomed addition in the pool.
Not only there are still quite smart, even if unstable, but they are brought to give us insight of their feelings, unwillingly by saying things that go beyond their initial intend. Learning things from them is a nice alternative to sane super-mutants, that only say what they intend to say.
About first generation dumb super-mutants, i hope they don't get mistaken with second generation super-mutants. Those are dumb, but followed the Master principle and discipline, contrary to second Generation super-mutant that never knew him.
About East Coast super-mutant, they make me very uneasy, as i fear that, by not interacting beside fighting, that they would encourage new players bigotry agains't those great beings. Also, those giants beast aren't my taste either. I would have prefered some vicious super-mutants, rather than those dumb brutes.
