Hes still around and hes a really good guy.

Daniel Tosh.

Watch Completely Serious. Really good material.

"Its great to be here in the OC. Diversity, that's what I like about the OC. You know, between upper middle and upper. My people. Is there anything more annoying than the poor? Oh, I can't afford a 2 bedroom townhouse for $600,000. Good, move East. Yeah. That's what the middle of the country is for, people who gave up on their dreams. "

"I hope we find a cure for every major disease, because I'm tired of walking 5k. I'm pretty sure I dont have to sweat for Cancer. I'll write a check. *shrug* I have high definition television because I felt the lack of resolution was affecting my ability to solve cases on CSI." :lmao:

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Sedgwick#Death

In a rather ironic turn of events, Sedgwick fell at the beginning of the Battle of Spotsylvania Court House, on May 9, 1864. His corps was probing skirmish lines ahead of the left flank of Confederate defenses and he was directing artillery placements. Confederate sharpshooters were about 1,000 yards (900 m) away and their shots caused members of his staff and artillerymen to duck for cover. Sedgwick strode around in the open and was quoted as saying, "What? Men dodging this way for single bullets? What will you do when they open fire along the whole line? I am ashamed of you. They couldn't hit an elephant at this distance." Although ashamed, his men continued to flinch and he repeated, "I'm ashamed of you, dodging that way. They couldn't hit an elephant at this distance."[3] Just seconds later he fell forward with a bullet hole below his left eye.[4]

Edit: Sorry. I realize John Sedgwick is not 'famous' but I hope historical figures are acceptable for this thread.

Edit 2: Now that I took the time to read the thread I see that the OP included Sedgwick. I sure feel silly.

"I'm bored with it all" - Winston Churchill

"I am about to take my last voyage, a great leap in the dark" - Thomas Hobbes

and

"I did not get my Spaghetti-O's, I got spaghetti. I want the press to know this" - Thomas J. Grasso

I lifted them all from the first suitable looking website that came up after Googling 'famous last words'. From the looks of it, so did the OP.

Not famous?! The guy is the epiphany of Irony, the very essence of Irony incarnated. He has more fame than you think.

He probably said that at some point. I dunno. I'm just going by what http://www.corsinet.com/braincandy/dying.html says. Ctrl+F Karl Marx and your quoted words are attributed to him

Perhaps the most famous of all: "Et tu, Brute?" - Julius Caesar

And: "I regret that I have only one life to lose for my country." - Nathan Hale

And my favorite: "I'm still learning." - Michelangelo

I've got one better:
"It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child"
- Pablo Picasso

Another good one is:
"I'd like to live as a poor man with lots of money"

And:

"Bad artists copy. Good artists steal"

Both by Picasso. He was a very strange man :)

How can one have two quotes as their alleged last words?

Except that he never said that, except in the Shakespeare play. It is more likely that his last words were 'κα? σ? τ?κνον', meaning 'You too, my child?', but that's just a rumour too.

Don't have much to add I'm afraid. Besides the awesome Confederate general's, the only last words I know are of fictional characters.

Favourite fictional last word:
Tell my tale to those who ask it. Tell it truly, the evil deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly. The rest...is silence.
