If only I had read this yesterday. Had a library patron get angry and in my face when I told him politley that his account was suspended until he returned his overdue book. Part of his tirade was "I don't like your attitude". Unfortunately all I could think of was "I don't care." Still it derailed his limited train of thought for a minute.

My fav is Veronica when you aske her to stay close when your character is male. "Only if you turn into a leggy brunette."

at the start when you do the vigor test put your strength to 10 and the doc says something like "I dunno who would want to pick a fight with you. you could take on a deathclaw with a switchblade." i laughed so hard haha

If your INT is at 5, you can lower it by 2 with Dixon's Whiskey...that's how (INT 3) I was able to recruit Arcade early, before my Speech was 75 and because I wasn't a Confirmed Bachelor.

Fire Ant Nectar works too. Easy to get and it's not addictive for the one use.

Speaking of Arcade, for a long time I thought "I could use a doctor." was the entire line he said during moments of crisis. Until I finally heard him say the whole bit. I guess most of the time it gets cut off because he either wants to say something else (or someone else does), I move away too quickly & don't hear, or he falls unconscious before he can finish. Probably usually the last one.

Yeah, I think I used 2 kinds of Ant Nectar and some booze, IIRC. I always put points in INT for the extra points you get levelling up and for Intelligence speech checks, so I think I've been missing some pretty funny stuff that my own character would say at low INT.

I didn't write down the exchange with Arcade, but the dialogue made me laugh pretty hard.

back on topic, how about:

Oh, I just remembered! In a playthrough where my Intelligence was around 5, the NCR troops would say, "Patrolling the Mojave makes you wish for a nucular winter." --I remember walking past muttering, "Nuclear. It's nuclear, clownshoes. Noo-clee-er."

Now my char. is at 9 INT, and the NCR troopers are saying, "Patrolling the Mojave makes you wish for a nuclear winter."

What a bunch of smart@sses the Obsidian writers are! :fallout:
