Favorite Man

Nords. Perhaps my favourite race. I love their sense of honour and duty, and they know how to enjoy life. I love their culture, and their awesome armour making skills (though not as good as Orcs, but still good), and I love their respect for nature.

They also have great architecture, and are inspired by one the more awesome Human cultures.

They also love to hunt! ^_^

This, Not too mention all those big strong naked nords... Ahem... Nothing to see here, move along. :blush2:

Nords ofcourse. The TRUE humans. Proud, fierce, dangerous, honourable and happy guys.Imperials are Nords who are ashamed of being Nords... They should be ashamed of themselves for being ashamed of themselves.Bretons are crossbreeds and are not really human anymore.Redguards get a second spot for themselves. But they are not used to snow and do not live up in the north and therefore they lose. However I love their humour (So I said, wheres the money in that?) and voice.

couldn't have said it better myself, good sir.

The nords and redguards seem to be the only humans with any sort of culture whatsoever. I want the imperials to be cool I reaally really do, but so far they are pretty lame.

Redguard… Hands Down… Well balanced warriors and catching diseases in TES 3 svck.

Some of the coolest characters are Redgaurds, the mute body guard in Mournhold for one and then there's that redguard who is a member of the mages guild in Oblivion, gives you a very interesting conversation.

Agreed

I like Nords the best. They, for me, are the best to play as in a fantasy game such as TES.

Nords for me as well. I love the entire culture, history, myths, and legends. The architecture and ships, robust.

Imperials because they have good personality and are at the very least decent fighters.

The mer-lovers are trying to influence this vote by voting for the damn Bretons! Next character I′ll make will be a Nordic mer-slaughterer! Bremer included.

Imperials first,Bretons second. I am forever a Imperial because my very first char. Was a Imperial Warrior. Bretons are also nice bur as I'm typing this off my Palm pre, I'll give a more in-depth reason of why I love both imperials and bretons later. One more thing though, which racer is closer to american/british irl, Bretons or Imperials.

Neither.

Bretons are (Since Morrowind, I believe), more French than anything. Imperials are quite obviously roman inspired.

I'd have to go with Nords for British (being scottish), or Redguards for American (only because of the voice)

Definitely the Bretons. The Imperials are basically Romans.

I disagree with him though about the Redguards. I feel like they're Africans with Middle Eastern architecture and a little bit of Asian culture thrown in.

Yeah, my ote one the Redguards was solely on the voice. It's more... American than the rest.

Also, if you're thinking pre-Morrowind, Bretons and Redguards are VERY cliché medieval english. Completely different in Morrowind and Oblivion, though.

I like how through out all these polls it's been pretty even, like everybody doesn't just like one race above others. Every race has it's own little fanbase :)

I find Redguards by far the most interesting race of Men. Like the Dunmer, they are set apart from the majority of their race-cousins on Tamriel due to worship. Their history is dynamic and cool (atomic explosions with spirit-swords anybody?) and I do enjoy their ingame skills, as I am mostly a Warrior.

Not to mention, their voices are just [censored] awesome.

Nords and Bretons. I love the whole Celtic thing going on with Nords and Bretons for their magic usage. I voted Nord because they would be my favourite-favourite.

I posted earlier about this: post 21 :
I chose bretons because i'm british......The Bretons are an ethnic group located in the region of Brittany in France. They trace much of their heritage to groups of Brythonic speakers who settled the area from south western Great Britain in two waves from the 4th to 6th centuries. The traditional language of Brittany is Breton (Brezhoneg) and is spoken by approximately 365,000 people, of whom about 240,000 speak it fluently [1]. Breton is closely related to the Brythonic languages Cornish (closely) and Welsh (more distantly). The region of Brittany is named after them[2]. Brittany and its people are included as one of the six Celtic nations. Another linguistic minority are present in Brittany, namely speakers of the Gallo language. The actual number of ethnic Bretons in Brittany and France as a whole is difficult to assess as the French government do not take account of such statistics. The present day population of Brittany based on a January 2007 estimate is 4,365,500.

This explains better why i chose bretons.....i like to base my characters on me & to look like me....i dont mind imperials ( because they had many nations in their armies )
I like nords also, though they were mostly scandanavian...( well thats who i liken them to ) but they are too tall for me to play..so i would choose either of those 3...but breton is my first choice.
Just my funny/quirky way of playing i suppose :)

Just look at the language.

Bonjour. Parle vous francais, monsieur? Tu es anglais, non?

If you're so French, translate what I just said, en anglais, sil vous plait. :P

Spoiler
...because I have no clue; I'm just babbling, hoping some of the words are correct. :P Nah, I'm just in a joking mood. The English language is indeed very close to the French language, but are the accent adopting troubles when trying to speak French as a British person or British English as a French person true?

translation:
Spoiler
Good day. Do you speak French, sir? You are English, no?

If you're so French, translate what I just said, in English, please. :P
