EDIT: If I had a second choice it'd be the Bosmer. They're a pretty cool culture in my book, I just wish Bethesda would stop flanderizing them as obnoxious NPCs and show some of it.

They're all great in a unique way, but until we see a game that further expands the cultures of the Bosmer, Orcs, and Altmer, then I'm for the Dunmer.

I dont get it either, but it probably has to do with their magical weaknesses or something. They are my second favorite mer though.

My favorite though is Orcs since they are technically mer.

FALMER! Snow elves, dont know much about them but they sound cool, hope their not little wimpy elves that hide shoot arrows (wood elves lawl)

Altmer. I don't really understand why people hate them.

I love the idea of the Altmer, but as a human, I find most of what they stand for to be an insult to my existence. Their race makes for a good antagonist because they're not evil, but their cultural philosophies conflict with those of men.

I'm not sure who to vote for, it's a toss-up between Orsimer and Bosmer. Despite many of the notable characters being presented as fools, I think that the two races are really cool and have a lot of potential to be taken seriously based on the books found in-game.

I suggest you go to the imperial library and do some research, as they're highly oppressive, practice eugenics that would put anyone to shame, and are completely hung up on the past due to their extreme narcissism of believing they were gods before.

I already know all that. That's a huge part of the reason i like them. What i don't understand is why annyone would hate them for that. If you ask me, it just makes them more interesting. The game needs races like that. Imagine how empty Tamriel would be without the Altmer.
