Favorite NPC?

Post » Mon Mar 08, 2010 2:59 am

For me I think if I had to pick, I'd vote Colonel Autumn, the reason why is because, temper aside, he is everything the Enclave SHOULD represent. When Eden wanted to [spoiler] Use the purifier as a tool of genocide] and Autumn wanted to do it the opposite way, he garnered ,my respect. I truly wish you could have been given a chance for Eden to be ousted and Autumn becoming President, and using the Enclave to rebuild the nation to its former glory.

Who is your favorite NPC and why?

Autumn - Same reason as you, I hated him before the final encounter.

Dukov - A guy who just want to have fun. All cool.

Cerberus - Robot in Underworld who hates Ghouls, Priceless. His dialogue is not to miss.

Eulogy Jones - He's just cool.

Desmond - The very embodiment of Bad-Ass. Even if he is a Ghoul.

Sierra Petrovica(sp?) - She's sweet and hot. What more do we want?

Mr.Burke - Another awesome guy.

Shorty - Spit in the face of a Super Mutant, while his hands where tied behind is back. He's got class.

Mysterious Stranger - He's saved my life too many times to not go here.

Colin Moriarty - He's in America, has been for generations. Yet he has kept his Irish accent.

Colonel Autumn. Want to know why? Just read through my posts if you care; you're bound to find something.

In short, the dude just wants to rebuild America, and through realistic measures. Talk to him -- he's a really noble guy. You can't actually blame him for his temper and attitude towards the LW -- you're an enemy to him, who is getting in the way of his cause.

I like Mr Burke, too. Gotta respect him.

Maybe you'll like Anthony Ling, too. ;) He's queer as anything, but it's funny.

The dude kind of contradicts yourself. I bought a nice suit from his store, and he still claimed I was wearing filthy rags...

Speaking of NPCs, I like Dashwood. Can't believe I didn't mention that living legend.

Gah! I forgot Argyle!

This isn't another ghoul thing - he just makes me laugh. I think it's a mixture of his accent and the fact that he's clearly the brains of the operation most of the time XDD It'd be so cool if didn't die and you could hire him XD

That old slave in paradise falls. Breadbox? I think...
Anyways, you'd talk to him and he'd say something like "Don't need one, got mine a long time ago."

You could tell he had hearing loss.

I have a lot of favorite NPCs, some I can't even remember. So I'll just list the ones I can in no particular order. :)

Clover: I love psychotic brainwashed bodyguards. Blindly loyal to their masters and enjoy killing just for the fun of it. Plus she's kind of hot looking, and even though I perfer guys I still think it's cool having a hot slavegirl follow me around and tend to me. Plus I like her mohawk. :mohawk:

Charon: Like Clover, I like him for being a tough bodyguard who's loyal to his owner. But he's too quiet for my tastes, and he's not as loyal as Clover because he still has a sense of morality.

Butch: Butch I think is kind of cute, and I love the way he talks to everybody like he's such a tough guy. I can't really stay mad at Butch when he bullies my character, and I like to pretend he and my character are friends even if I don't recruit him. Plus he's obviously gay-but-doesn't-know-it-yet. I mean come on! He wears leather jackets and he's a hairdresser! Oops... I mean "Barber". :D

Colin Moriarty: This guy is like what I strive to be. He doesn't take crap from anybody and only cares about himself, and could care less about the rest of the world. Plus despite the fact that he's a pimp and a slavemaster, I like to believe that deep down he's a good person.

Moira Brown: Her happy perkiness is very refreshing compared to all the cynical a-holes. Sure she's a little nutty, but she seems like she really wants to help the Wasteland. More then most people. Plus she gives you some nice rewards.

Mister Burke: I always make my character similar to him. He wears nice suits and sunglasses and talks his way into getting whatever he wants.

Anthony Ling: "Fabulous" Gay Fashion Designer. What more can I say?

Margaret Primrose: Sweet old lady who loves to cook. Doesn't deserve to get killed by Ghouls.

Herbert Daring Dashwood: I love his show on Galaxy News Radio.

Carol: Probably the nicest ghoul in Underworld. I love listening to her stories about the Great War, even if her hotel service svcks.

Tulip: Another nice resident of Underworld. She was nice enough to give me a book and she's friendly.

Eulogy Jones: Pimps are cool, and I wish I had a pad like his.

Everybody in Andale: The world's friendliest Cannibal Republicans, once you get to know them

Trinnie: My favorite town drunk, buy her a few drinks and see what happens. ;)

Bumble: The only resident of Little Lamplight who isn't a brat. I can never sell her to Paradise Falls because I feel too guilty. :(

Madame Penada: The most interesting resident of Point Lookout. Too bad she dies so easily.

That's all I can think of.

Fallout 3 Favorite NPC? That's a hard one.. I would have to go with Dave of the republic of Dave. Just because it's like a mini cult he has going.

A bit nutty? She's like a squirrel's innards.

This Desmond character is getting attention, I haven't seen him yet. All I know is he's the only ghoul to NOT have a New Jersey accent. <-- I could be wrong about the New Jersey thing, that's what my american friend said it was XD

In no particular order:

Sydney:
Doc Hoff: "Let's see what the good doctor has in his magic bag, shall we?"
Uncle Leo: He's apparently Buddhist (or at least was), meaning we have something in common.
(I accidentally killed Uncle Leo in my current play through. He was getting attacked by a Yao Guai, so I started shooting it with my Blackhawk. The Yao got between U.Leo and my character, then sidestepped one of my shots. I popped U.Leo right in the face. It was an accident, I swear!!!)
Mayor MacCready : What can I say... besides maybe "birds of a feather..."
Zip: A kid strung out on caffeine and sugar... he kills me.

Moira Brown. The whole world's gone to hell, everyone else is in dire need of some severely overpowered uppers, and yet she remains happy and bubbly. A refreshing person to be around, makes the game feel alive and kinda makes me feel hopeful that the wasteland might actually recover.

Perhaps there was a large dose of amphetamines headed to Megaton and she hoarded them all? I don't know. But I like her bubbly personality.
Spoiler
Even blowing her skin off, literally, doesn't dampen her mood.

She is the reason I spared Megaton.

I don’t know about favorite, but I always thought Moriarty would make a good companion, once his loyalty was insured.

Ahhh, I can just picture sitting around a campfire with him, trading insults and sharing a bottle of Irish whiskey after a hard day of bloodletting. Good times…

Brick: She's good-lookin, cheerful, and understands the joys of a good day of mutie-splattering.
Zip: He's just too cute, especially in that King of the Moles outfit of his.
Moira: Yeah, she's a bit weird. But then, so am I. At least she has a sense of humor.

I like Moira, shes by far one of the most interesting characters in the whole game. Of course, Charon is also very cool.

But I really like Bessie Lynn. She's shy, and nice. And always being pushed around by Roy Phillips. She deserves better.
