I loved that random encounter, too. I wondered whether I ~should~ kill him or not, since he DID just run away and did not try to fight me. Still, I have a rep to maintain and he was trying to bilk innocent folk.

Super Mutants going WHAT? A NOISE? and then mumbling to themselves "stupid noises". Yeah mate, noises are stupid. Not you.

Came across a settler living alone in a tent, middle of nowhere.

Explained to me that he has stomach problems, and must be alone because of the stink.

This also makes me wish that he had voiced the playable male character.

Feels like a crappy scene from one of those 80s/90s action comedies, but still made me laugh out loud.

I was with Piper at Bunker Hill, and started climbing the stairs of the tower or whatever it is called. When I hear Piper (can't recall the exact words) say something along the line of "bad thing to be tower guard and find out you forgot your lunch downstairs" I was like, what the, lol!!

After hours of play through with Deacon, today he surprises yet again.

Was moving down a narrow alley ending in a T. At the T were two super mutants who had spotted another enemy and we're facing perpendicular to me. Checked a grenade and went into VATS. To my joy, vats zoomed on my grenade. I targeted the grenade, then both mutie-heads and let it rip. Massive explosion and two headshots in one quick vats session.


"You made that look easy" says a completely calm Deacon

And they are actually right, it is over soon, maybe too soon, I feel sorry for them most of the time as they never get the chance to fight back.

"Don't you die on me!"

-Enemy to fallen friend who is clearly missing their head.

I love it when they're saying that in super slow-mo while you're chaining VATS attacks.

That would have made the male player character ten times better, that's for sure.

But on topic, basically anything that comes out of Deacon's mouth is great. Especially some of his combat quotes: "You know ammo isn't cheap. Can we just pay you to be dead?"

In a parking garage down the street from Hubris comics, there are a couple of raiders telling a story about the "imaginary motorcycle man" and his "assault" on Trinity Tower.

...and i had a good laugh the first time i heard curie "you should wash your hands after that! it can be unsanitary to handle the deceased!"

i gotta say, i find it a bit disturbing we're commanding our love interests with just the same lines

i seem to remember that was "i'll wear your BALLS around my neck" in fo3...? pc'd down or false memory?

I am not sure if I heard it right, but today I had to free a settler from the place where the Forged tend to hang and respawn. Upon entering the inner room, I heard he "leader" saying something like "Brotherhood of Squeal!" followed by comment on me having come to pay the ransom.

The comment I really long to hear is "Caps, ammo, whatever you find, don't forget to share!" but I have decided to max all companions, so it will be a while until get my sweetie tag along.

"Here, human human human - I've got a treat for you!"
